My character is called Skooma Addict For Life. I wanted to be a skooma Cartel kingpin when i started the game. But then found out it wasn't in it at all but random quests. Definitely would love to see it in game.

And how is any cooking in this game teaching you how to cook? One ingredient magically makes food. Two makes it better? Oh yeah that's real cooking for you. Where do you get off saying the game will teach you to make drugs? Skooma plus apples gives me skooma apples. I don't see a direct how to prepare this. It's not even real and you know this. So how is it bad?

No one said anything about the game teaching anyone to make drugs? And besides, we already have in-game drugs.

Having said that, we don't need any more drugs and I don't think Skooma should be craftable - there's no room for skooma addiction in the game.
Like.. you ingest skooma with your character and what, the character is rendered immobile for 12 hours?
That's some great gameplay right there haha

He asks for recipies  that's pretty much asking for being allowed to make drugs.. Besides, I think there's a huge difference between having it in the game, and being allowed to make it.. It would not look good if we were allowed to make drugs.. Almost no games allow that, for a reason.. Even worse would be if you were allowed to ingest it  It does simply not look good

"Them" is not your's to decide. Khajiit Skooma Bubbler exists in the game, to wipe away that smell of a personal political or religious agenda.

But an in-game recipe doesn't teach you how to make drugs IRL? That's what I was responding to
It's true that the character would learn to make drugs however, but we already have drugs we can make and consume - coffee, tea, alcohol.

But like I said we really don't need more drugs in ESO.

No indeed they do not.. But it still sends out some very bad signals.. You start producing drugs, then you sell them for profit.. It does simply not look good.. And please don't compare addicting drugs that can ruin lifes with coffee and tea

At the very least skooma should be a white drink drop that gives a debuff and a buff of some sort. Maybe buff resource regen but debuff damage?

As long as we cant craft it the countries that have strict anti drugs laws should be fine....hopefully. So make it a rare drop from stealing or add it to khajiit loot tables. Either way skooma will likely come in an Elsewyr dlc/chapter

I think this is a great idea and could actually be used as an anti drug message.

It could start as a buff, but to continue the benefits of the buff you would have to keep having more and more. If you don't do this the buff starts working backwards until you are useless. To fix this a period of detox/gold payment.

Production could hurt reputations with opposing factions.

Honestly though! The attitude towards drugs in games is silly. Could such a thing glamorise drugs in the real world? Possibly, but you are talking about a game which already glamorises murder! Sometimes you just need to trust that people will not take things so seriously. It's a game, and if people are letting it guide their moral compass then they are already to far gone.

The best way to make something desirable is to place it behind walls and try and hide it. This leads to a counter culture.

step one get Moon sugar and Nightshade berries
    1. Crush berries in a mixing bowl until mush
    2. take moon sugar and add water and boil until sugar has caramelized
    3. while using a stringer add berries into the mix so only the juices are added
    4. stir fully under flame let cool for one hour and now you have something that resembles tree sap wait until crystallized
    5. now smoke from a Skooma Pipe.
