    It's taking a dive in PvP to help your opponent rank up. In ESO, specifically, it's flipping resources and keeps between players quickly to generate AP. Which is, in fact, cheating, and just resulted in some bans getting handed down.

    All top 3. What really erks me is when ad is sitting with red groups... Running people purposely into super strong red players to get pawned.. Then your own AD TEA BAG YOU and they both stand there lol

    In an ideal world of all of the above. However I wonder if it was for technical reasons ZOS couldn't change the characters ranks back and all the benefits with them.

    I also have concerns over people who cashed out their AP as there is no penalty for them.

    The bans I agree with as it was the first time for an action which wasn't clearly against ToS.

    So I guess I just wish ZOS could/would go down the trail a little more. To bring them up again (sorry) I know when CCP Games (EVE Online) do bans for some actions they follow the money trail and remove it all if they can, or take players wallets into negatives and force them to grind that money back positive.

    Technically ZOS haven't put in place preventative methods so I think it should just be a temp ban as ZOS still hasn't said of done anything to stop the matter!

    For this particular example I actually think this is nice roleplaying idea. Sort of traitor/spy luring you into trap. But there could be some traitor mechanic in return implemented in the game for this. Once the player is discovered as traitor, he/she could have some punishments in their home zone, like NPCs hunting him/her down or people from his alliance could be able to initiate duel with such person without his/her agreement and/or double price from NPCs at home territories and/or of race coming from his/her home territory. Some fun stuff to play as an outcast :smiley: Maybe such person could have his/her alliance switched after being traitor for a certain time.

    When it comes to OP I agree with removing AP and it might be fun to mark the person as traitor too if such system would be implemented

    That's like saying when there's an exploit in Pve that I don't care , sorry but just because it's in PvP or Pve should matter it has an negative effect on the community

    We should rather think what to do to prevent those situations to happen it the future:

    - Make Campaigns Alliance-locked (this problem exists partially due to re-loggers).
    - Communication - those people that cooperate with swapping keeps/castles/forts have a way to communicate. Usually it is TS (and we can do nothing about it) but it might as well be in game friends list chat (which btw. should be disabled while in cyrodiil unless your friend is also in cyrodiil in the same campaign in the same alliance).
    - Finally 10x less AP if you (as a player) capture (re-take) same keep/castle/fort within a short period of time.

    Btw. ZOS will probably do nothing about this issue / exploit as ZOS simply does not care about PvP.

    They just did an action this month on over a hundred accounts, removing all AP gained and banning them for at MINIMUM 3 days. I would say that is a pretty clear message to anyone paying attention.

    Totally agree it's taken me ages to get some of my toons to their rank and these exploiters come along and now have higher ranks

    thats the whole reason they are boosting. they dont care about the skill point or the dyes - they just want a high epeen pvp rank because for the longest time, guys like [snip] boasted that pvp ranks were the pinnacle of pvp validation.

    I think that all players' characters should be alliance locked - as in, all of one person's characters are in the same alliance. There's no real reason this shouldn't be implemented with 1T!

    i worked years to get to my pvp rank, but thanks to the their actions others who don't know me thinks i boosted too.

    They didn't remove AP gains, at least on the case of players i know.
    And i'm also for the first 3 actions.
