Sacrifice healer - what are your ideas

Cuddlecalf
Hi,
I`ve been playing a sacrifice healer and it just isn't as good as a normal healer but has lots of flavor. Instead of just getting strong heals and become near immortal because the heals also work for the caster, I actually stack health and protect it with blazing shield, and if people ignore me, I sacrifice my health with equilibrium to power healing spells for my friends. My health becomes my teammates's health if people ignore me, and I just have so much of it. But it gets better, because at a point ZOS implemented Guard. Guard also increases the magnitude of all healing on one target, and all it costs... is my health.

It's just a lot of fun because people can't attack me but they also can't ignore me. The initial idea was because everyone loves attacking healers, I want a healer that loves being attacked.

So much for the theory! In practice it's not working so well with my new build.

Attributes + Enchants = all health for large blazing shields.

Abilities first weapon bar:
Mystic guard - I`m very happy ZOS implemented this celestial ability.
Channeled Focus - it both increases the amount of blazing shields, and the amount of healing spells for my friends, whatever is needed. Also triggers major mending.
Blazing Shield - nice nice nice!
Radiant Aura - More blazing shields / heals. I ran out of mana in 1v1 while I wasn't using this yet.
Structured Entropy - bigger blazing shield / more powerful healing.

Abilities second bar:
Guard
Extended Ritual - for purge and maintaining the major mending buff..
Breath of Life - spammable heal.
Toppling Charge - to reach a fight fast and immediately create breathing room for a friend under duress by ccing. Keeps me moving and ccing prevents more damage than my healing spells heal.
Equilibrium - if people ignore me, I use this to punish them for letting me keep full health. In theory it could even be used to keep empowering blazing shields, because 1 health turns into about two health points by casting equilibrium, then cast 2 blazing shields.

For sets I was debating much. Heavy armor gives me green pact and plague doctor, but I think endless health is not helping me much, if people ignore me. Instead, I use three jewelry plague doctor and two heavy plague doctor for big blazings, and a light magickaefficieny set (currently seducer, may switch to desert rose or so.). This means I`m losing my heavy armor mitigation which I hopefully won't ever need anyway and get so much mana efficiency that though my blazings are smaller, I can cast them much more often, equaling to even more protection than before and can heal much better if I`m being ignored.

My stats in purple gear in non-champion point campaign are 50k health, 2,3k magicka recovery, in addition 480 magicka / 2 sec from channeled focus, plus 400 per sec from radiant aura and -27% to magicka cost reduction, 500 health/stam recovery.

What are your ideas and what's your advice? Problems I noticed is that I either refresh my blazing shield early and run out of mana, or risk taking hits and end up with no health fast.
I also noticed I can't take as much beating as I hoped + my healing is just really low. My BoL heals 5k tooltip, so with major mending and battle spirit that's just a little more than 3k heals...
Nothing seems to work and when people attack my friends they oftentimes die so fast I feel I couldn't help them sufficiently, because guarding takes time, putting down my major mending buff takes time and by then it may be too late. Curious about your thoughts on how you would build a sacrifice healer.

On an hp build, you want to run heavy armor for the hp bonuses among other passives.

Since you're running 5 plague doctor, you can run 5 heavy seducer then a 2pc monster set. I recommend troll king since it has no cooldown and procs super easy on a blazeplar since your heals are small.

Undeath passive from vampires have great syngergy with high HP builds, at 50k HP you start getting damage resists from it at ~17k health.

With a low magika pool and low spell damage you're not going to have incredible healing, though.

The trouble you will have with putting so much into your health is as Lexxypwns said " With a low magika pool and low spell damage you're not going to have incredible healing ".

You heal, and for strong heals you need a good amount of Spell power and magika with a reasonable amount of Mag regen. Going a health base will I think take to much away from your healing ability. On the other hand your blazing shield only works on max health and Mag regen ( to keep it going ), the damage from blazing shield takes nothing from spell damage or amount of magika you have only health. Also on a side note BS has a high cost for a short duration if you don't work around that you will run out of Magika very quick.

If you are going to go Guard I would go full Heavy all into magika and spell power, you will need to get your regen up and cost reduction down to sustain in those heavy moments.

Get it working and they are a *** to kill.

Life isn't measured by the breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.

    I use spc with worm.

    Hey,
thanks for your answers! I`ve come to make some some realizations. Yes healing is too low. I tried percentage heals like cleanse/blood altar but both are not good I think.

HOWEVER. What about this new LOL build I came up with for 50% uptime on Light's Champion (Panacea). Also, I`m coming to think - who even cares about healing. I can just perma soft cc instead, which is likely just as good.

Dragonset (-15% Ult). Troll King, lots of health set bonuses for the rest of the gear.
With temp passive Panacea now costs 81 ultimate.
I guard a friend, then just invigorating drain all day! People won't attack me! That gives me, with normal ultimate regeneration, 8ultimate/sec. I can cast panacea every 10 secs now for large healing even without spell power and -30% damage reduction and trigger troll king.

I don't think a target that gets guarded and gets panacea every 10secs can be killed anytime soon, and people just can't attack me. If that doesn't work, my plan is to permanently root people, for instance with frost touch, while I guard. That should take away much damage. For casters who are out of range, I plan to use eclipse. It will take like 0,5-1 sec to realize for a caster "Oh I have eclipse", then another sec for break free. This will happen every few secs.

What do you think? I think this should be working.

Just fyi, destructive clench/reach is an expensive skill, I absolutely love it. I like your build.
