PVP:
Stamina: I will start off by saying if Zos fixed cloak(purge back?)and maybe stuns from stealth; and or stealth damage in general(A debate by itself). Stam Nightblade would be in the proper place in pvp.
Magicka: As for magicka Nightblade, I am not experienced in the field as one enough to say intricacies about it; but only fighting against one. I will say that ever since launch magNb has been and should always be the trickiest to fight. I always felt that they should have those moves that you knew were coming and had to prepare for everytime(Assassins will proc but it is so easy to dodge; it's sad). Infinite cloaks and shade crossovers; yes the most fun class. Now concealed weapon, maybe give it a major AND minor spell debuff or just major. Maybe a special skill that just ignores all armor and or just shields)and that minor movement at all times. If you go the major debuff route of course you can keep the mobility, and keep the stealth speed(What do you MagNb's think? Within the realm of balance of course). It is probably not worth running a magic melee Nb anymore without that spinners/necro/top notch setup? What are your thoughts about them Pvp wise? I miss actually fighting a melee magNb and feeling challenged on a consistent basis compared to a melee magDk or mag Templar.
PVE:
Stamina: (sigh) I main a Stam Nb in general but never even consider using them for serious endgame anything. Stamina issue in general; minus stam Dk? What is the point in having power extraction when steel tornado is better in damage and radius (What you want an aoe ability to excel at). Yes it gives us brutality so we do not need brutality pots, but if you go that route you give up damage and radius; plus it eats out of your rotation during single target boss fights. What is this for? A sword and shield Nb who wants aoe damage to spam? A 2h Nb who needs an aoe ability? So when he uses it; it gives the same buff Rally does? How? What do we do? Who uses this? Just use what every stam class does, steel tornado. Zos makes Dw by far the best weapon in pve, okay we are fine with that but we need diversity at endgame just like there are sets, no there is no diversity with many skills, particularly stam aoe obviously(Power extraction has the potential). All I see for us right now is above average crit, infinite sustain with siphoning*/relentless/passive(Easy on any class really, BUT with Morrowind cp changes this can easily be amazing). Incap during low health boss fights, which is actually unique and cool. However for the other 85% of the fights which I emphasis the most we are not the average Joe. I have never seen a stam Nb in vet trials, ever. Yes they are playable but I am talking min/max compared to the rest of stam classes and magicka it's worthless in my eyes and I think I am not alone in that sense.
Magicka: I have played my magNb in a couple of vet trials and experienced the rotations and all of that, but not enough to say anything really. I hear that Grothdar is in fact the best; so Mag Nb uses it than also ditch swallow soul for F.Pulse? All while wearing BSW and not getting as much uptime than other classes? This seems to be like a "We cannot use the best set(s) and benefit like the other classes" type of gripe. Is there a major problem with magNb in pve? Or are they in line for you?
These are just my thoughts from playing and listening recently these patches. Trying to keep it user friendly somehow as well to new players who use Nightblades. What are the must that makes sense to you and that should happen when a new base patch comes in?
