Non-CP Revived PVP and CP Should be Greatly Nerfed or Redesigned Much More Wisely

    @Derra I get both sides, and I do have fun in both. I just had more fun this past week, simple as that. But I do think the CP values add to a lot of cheese builds (though as a previous poster mentioned, can avoid those players). I dont even bother with Serra Draconis, he/she cant kill me anyway.

    They cant revert to perma No CP without adjusting a bunch of other stuff as well (like streak, poisons, eots, etc).

    Yep - that´s why i´d much rather have them adjust CP.
    Or realistically speaking rework the whole system.

    The most problematic mechanic atm being block in my opinion (and how well it synergises with heavy armor).

    Edit: I´m not even saying that i did have less fun last week. I had more fun than any time since IC hit live (when i did not have 160+ queues).
    That was due to populated servers though and not the gameplay.
    I enjoy CP gameplay more than nonCP. But i had more fun with nonCP doubleAP event because pvp was alive for that week.

    Ideally, how many ESO players can have the luxury to play in the morning?

    When I was on Saturday morning 9am, AZ had 15DC and 15EP duking it out at rayles with the map fully red.

    If that was a weekend, I wouldn't hold my breathe for magical players to appear right after the patch on a weekday.

    Naturally given a choice most players are going to choose to have more power, so it seems kind of obvious why cp is more popular when it's a choice.

    But players would also be happy if they were just given high end gear also. Doesn't mean it's the right long term choice for the game.

    Power progression in pvp complicates a lot of things. You can't have too big of a gap from low to high. You can make that work in pve for a lot longer then you can in pvp. Most games that have been around a while have removed most power progression from pvp. A level playing field just ends up being what keeps the most players in the game over time.

    I think the smartest approach I've seen is you have some power progression but you untie it from pve completely and it's earned via pvp activity. And it's limited so say 15% or so, so you can gain an edge but not an overwhelming one.

    Like they could easily normalize monster sets so the set bonuses in pvp are different, map to set bonuses that are available via crafted gear. Which not only allows them to have pve specific things, but it would level the playing field more by basically making crafted the best gear you can use in pvp.

    Cp they could do the same thing, have pvp specific cp that doesn't have to follow the same progression that pve does.

    I think some changes similar to these would probably not make everyone happy, like you are always going to upset people when you take something away. But for the long term health of pvp, they need to start separating pve/pvp so they can balance them separately, or it's not going to end well.

    Get rid of cp and poisons, it's that simple. CP was an asinine concept from the beginning and it will eventually be the death of this game. Systems like cp have killed games before

    Not true at all. If people really liked non cp they would have went to Azura which was no more packed than usual. What they liked is double ap. Also my que for true flame was better but still there I was hoping they would leave and at lest go to hews bane if not Azura.

Because an 8 k shield is f ing useless. Died because of baddies on the forum. Too much qq too little pew pew. 16 AD 2 DC. 0 EP cause they bad, CP 2300 plus 18 level 50 toons. NA, PC, Grey Host#SORCLIVESMATTER actually they don’t or they wouldn’t keep getting nerfed constantly.
