Imperial Stamblade Question

Hey guys,
First time poster, long time lurker here. I first started playing ESO at Xbox release. I have played off and on since. I am a big TES lore fan, so my first character that I rolled was a Argonian stamblade in attempt to make a Shadowscale-like build. After getting to VR/CP, I quickly realized that the Argonian racials weren't going to work. So, I wanted to reroll another stamblade that would be fairly viable regardless if I decided to do PvP or PvE. I recently rerolled as an Imperial stamblade after some research I did right after the One Tamriel release. I noticed I was doing significantly more damage, and was able to stay in boss fights (questing) longer. However, I just finished the DB content, and I wanted to try my hand at PvP. I went to Cyrodil and have been getting my shop wrecked ever since. So, I started looking at these forums, reddit, and youtube. Most of the sources I've seen say that the races that should be picked for stamblades are Khajit, Redguard, or Bosmer. I was really disppointed after seeing this, so I thought I would ask, will Imperial still be viable enough to be effective, or should a reroll again?

✭Redguard does nothing for damage that Imperial doesn't do. So the imperial is just as good in terms of damage. The only thing redguard does better is sustain stamina while in a fight. But you're in a stamBlade and have siphoning, which covers sustain in fights.
Khajiit and Bosmer get extra gank damage and sustain. So if you want to be a pure ganker, they are technically better.
Imperial is fine you do not need to change at all. And you get the bonus of extra health. So you have some more cushion.
What you are experiencing is the difficulty not a new player in PvP. And a harder class to master if you want to be a brawler. As they are more or less built to gank. And ganking is not as easy to do successfuly in succession without getting killed as many make it out to be.1 -
ArgonianAustin✭✭✭✭Hey you should have stayed an argonian. I played when it was released on ps4 and I'm still an argonian stamblade, I mainly PvP and I don't have trouble at all with damage. But you picked the race that I would've picked if I race changed.Just a Lizard Man that plays ESO with my twin brother khajiit_kyle0 -
The_Duke✭✭✭✭I have an imperial stamblade and I love the extra HP. Sitting at 30k hp with 4k weapon damage is great in pvp.The Duke
