Magicka Soloing Resource?

Stamblade main here, leveled a magicka NB (destro/resto combo, 5 light 2 heavy). Really struggling to even kill one of the gaurds on the flag of a resource. They all spam bubbles and the damage is out there. I have no issues soloing a resource on my stamblade, any suggestions? Can't seem to get damage out because the second one bubble drops the gaurds put another on.

Try to pick the menders away from the flag one by one, then the tower mage, then blow up the flag guards with Soul Tether + Sap essence spam from stealth. If it takes too long and you get bubbled, Siphoning Strikes and some weaved light attacks will give you the stamina to break free for the whole fight.

Slot efficient purge, soul tether, pulsar, sap essence. Infinitely cloak to mage guard and kill it to gain ultimate. Stay cloaked to avoid aggro. Tether pulsar sap impale in circles. If you get bubbled cleanse it. Healers can be bashed

Cloak/invis-pot into the tower, kill the mage guard. Take down the menders on the flag, take cover if low on stam. Take down honour guards. Refill stam, jump on flag, clear mender and guard on tower door. Maybe kill the roaming guard.
No ult or pot needed.

Use Siphoning Strikes for stamina sustain if you didn't already. If you're vampire, casting mist and barswapping/blockcancelling it will purge the bubble off of you. Be careful, though, you won't get cc immunity and they will cast the bubble again. Only use mist to get a short stamina break.

Can anyone tell me why the NPCs are allowed to spam negates and that bubble? It's pretty biased towards stam and just plain annoying when you also have to deal with human players

I like the idea of mist bar swapping, if it clears bubble that might be what i need to do until i get purge. Thanks everyone for the tips. Now just need to decide if going heavy armor is worth it.

I have zero issues soloing resources as a magblade even in full light armor. With destro/resto I just magicka detonation, hold block and spam sap essence the flag dudes. Harness magicka to nullify the tower mage's attacks. Step out of negate when cast.

Break free of any bubble for cc immunity and use syphoning attacks to keep resources up.

Kill guard mage with swallow soul/light attack from staff while keeping harness up.

Also you can use the 20% dodge change bubble thing which can help.

Which actually does you a favor because if there's a ganker around, he won't be able to CC you!

The easiest way to take a resource solo as a NB is to cloak into the tower and take out the Mage Guard, then range attack the Menders from his lofty perch.
Then come down and take out the rest.
Easy.

This. During CC immunity you cant be bubbled. So, immovable pot, or immovable or cc break

On any build that has a hard time soloing resources, I just recommend running into the tower first. You pull all the mobile guards, kill them inside, kill mageguard on 2nd floor, and then you just have to work the 4 on the flag.

Ahh resources. Yep. On Magicka you'll have to think about tyour approach.

Kill the Menders first, then the other guards. It may help to run up the tower to kill the mage and any others who follow you, then come back down for the flag guards.

With a Stamina build you can literally charge in and be capturing the flag asap with no strategy.

Lol - that bubble.. I spent ages wondering how how I kept getting knocked down every time I tried to cast a frag.. I was so slow in figuring out that one!

And yeah, if not that, its the negate's too.. makes it a nightmare trying to take resources when an enemy player pops up. The damage from guards I can handle... but the CC! that's the killer.

As others have said - go tower first and kill what follows u then peep out picking them off 1 by one.

Or rush into the middle with EOTS..

Depends how quick you want to take it and whether you want to risk bumping into a player with ulti down..

The worst is when you get bubbled midway through the flight path of a Toppling Charge, which isn't even a projectile, and you knock yourself over like a glorious falcon flying into a bulletproof window.

Cant a NB just sap spam the flag guards? The Bubble wont reflect that and you shouldn't die with all the incoming healing.

Well, in light armor, you won't stay at full health this way and the incoming negate could kill a less experienced player

Yes the guard bubble does. Player bubble only reflects projectiles

I run in the tower, take out mage. Cloak, empower, heavy staff cancelled with killer blade. Takes out one each time, rinse and repeat.

I just step away and avoid the bubble and if one hits, mist form into bar swap cloak and repeat. If meteor is charged, it all happens so much faster.

Love magblade. It's hard to play, there's no love and you're squishy AF, but that's the appeal. ONE mistake = death.

Taking resources on a Magicka character is rather annoying. As Stamina you just walk in and melt everything.

As Magicka you get hit with that hard cc, eclipse, spell absorption every .5 milliseconds.

It's not hard, just completely unbalanced between Magicka and Stam haha.

MagDK is pretty easy, just walk to the flag, deep breath, talons, embers and start whipping, bats also help as does grothdarr.

MagNB is easyest class to solo Resource. Proxy det-lotus fan flag-sap esence (you can add bats ult or soul teather, but imo its just a waste of ult)=flag cleared in 5 sec, then you just pick off the rest one by one

easiest way ever,even my healer can do it,one guard will chase you above the stairs following by a mender,take these out first,then the mage
