Any True Assassin Builds for Nightblades Anymore?

dirklemonjellob14_ESO
I just want to stealth around an gank single or doubles with melee weapons like when I played 2 years ago.

However every class now just seems to be mages running around with different titles ie nightblade, templar, etc. While its cute Im using a destro/resto staff to level cp levels its not what the class is for for my style of play.

Are nightblades one shot burst builds just gone? Do they have to go stam? I love the magic lines for nightblades and want to use it to quickly kill an get away in stealth but I just do not see those builds posted here or on youtube that are accepted as anyway effective in comparison to the known meta where EVERYONE uses staffs.

If there isn't any I will just level up my magplar until zenimax tries to define classes a little better instead of everyone can do everything but the same way.

Can anyone help a returning player just play a nightblade as a stealthed assassin? Not a mage in heavy armor for petes sakes lol.

Trust me, I will appreciate any and all advice if it will help me get back to how I want to play the nightblade if its at all possible.

Please tell me it is lol. I dont wanna be like every sorc or templar i see everywhere.

You are pretty much right, there aren't a lot of Magblade melee specs out there just killing it. The post below is a melee Magblade build, he's emp in the video however.

You could wield a staff for heavy attacks but still go full melee with your class skills, I've seen that used effectively.

I have a few builds that hit pretty hard. One is 5 necroprentence/5alchamist/ 2 engine guardian. I like this build because of the extra health from alchamist. The burst on this build is really high, most of the time people don't expect to get hit that hard by a melee magblade the combo I use is soul tether, assassins will. With crippling grasp ticking it will usually one shot anyone unless they are just ridiculously tanky. If you have a group you could switch the dungeon set for a damage set for more burst

Another build that I played that was good was 5 julianos/ 5 lich/ 2 skoria but gradgarr works as well. Skoria hits really hard what I liked to do with this build is time my soul harvest with skoria. It's a little less survivable than the other build but it has better sustain.

And this is the build I'm running now it's destro resto though but I'm using concealed weapon and fear. It's 5 spinner/ 5 alchamist/ 2 Kena. A heavy attack fully buffed with this build hits for like 13k on average and I've hit as high as 19k. I use a flame enchant on the staff. The combo I use with this is soul tether assasins will. Or meteor assasins will for tankier players.

For all these builds I run 5 light-1-1 and defending staff on the back bar. I don't use a damage shield for open world I use healing ward as a shield and heal. Be warned though that playing like this is incredibly difficult and if you find your self dying to much you may want to use dampen. But with cloak, healing ward, major evasion, and siphoning attacks letting you block CCs I do fine without the shield. If I dual I do drop cloak for dampen though.

I also have more meta magblade builds using heavy armor. Those builds will be alot easier to play and synergize better with the current meta but they aren't as fun to play.

Also to note if you are trying to gank with magblade it's best to target medium or light armor players. The builds I posted will have no trouble tearing apart someone in light or medium if you get the jump on them. They aren't really gank build they are more 1vX builds, but they hit so hard from stealth that medium and light armor targets just melt. They can beat heavy armor builds but you won't be able to gank then.
