Can anyone tell me what this weird glow around enemies is?

This started appearing on enemies lately, and I have no clue what it is. It seems to be only certain enemies, I can't tell which ones yet. I turned all addons off in case it was one of those, but the effect was still there. In that screenshot, you can see it on the boss too as well as the ones on the floor.
My boyfriend is next to me and took an identical screenshot, he doesn't have this effect, and we compared all our graphic and interface settings. So is it some class ability?

    You have either evil hunter or camo hunter on your bar -- fighters guild ability

    Yes, I believe it's the figher's guild ability that's shows you the undead enemies.

    The tooltip is completely wrong though. Its not to do with them being undead, it should be to do with being stealthed, but these enemies are not, they are just standing there. The game has a very odd way of defining what is stealthed and what isn't haha. And its also meant to be only for 5 seconds, from when you activate it, which I never do.

    It's a pretty annoying effect as well, look at the difference when its switched off, I mean the effect even makes the walls glow...

    No no. When you cast that ability it shows who is stealthed. Just having it slotted will highlight undead. It's working correctly.

    I'm laughing because this exact same thing happened to me when I ran that dungeon with a friend. I saw the glow all of a sudden and he didn't. And we were trying to figure out why.

    It's actually pretty handy when you come across "hidden" undead things.

    It's more that the tooltip is incomplete than incorrect. It does what it says about stealthed enemies, but it just doesn't mention the part about undead.

    Hmm, it doesn't say it does this though, how odd. It's not even in the fighters guild passives. Unless its an side effect of having more damage to undead and getting more ulti from undead?
    Not saying you're wrong, you are clearly correct and its definitely what the game is doing, its just I don't see why it isn't written anywhere in the UI that this happens.

    They may have changed the tooltip, because I'm pretty sure it said that in the past. For the Evil Hunter morph only though.

    It's one of the abilities of Expert Hunter and its Morph's (Camoflaged Hunter and Evil Hunter) when it is slotted you can see undead, daedra and werewolves with a silvery glow, it used to be on the tool tip but they changed it.

    I guess it pays to be in the game since it first started to know that :wink:

    old Tool tip for Expert Hunter,

    Invoke your expertise in anatomy and enemy behavior to give your attacks a 15% chance to cause an additional 10 Magic Damage against undead and Daedra and a 4% chance against all other enemies.
    Killing undead and Daedra refreshes the effect's duration.
    While slotted, undead and Daedra are easier to see and you gain Major Savagery, increasing your Weapon Critical rating by 10.
