Maintenance for the week of November 18:
[IN PROGRESS] PlayStation®: EU megaserver for maintenance – November 19, 23:00 UTC (6:00PM EST) - November 20, 17:00 UTC (12:00PM EST) https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/668861
Mag sorcs got nerfed a bit and they will nerf its damage in next patch. will be worthless to play with mag sorc while u can oneshot light armor with heavy armor + 1h1s as a proctato.
It is really a matter of personnal preference more than anything, really. I like playing as a magplar but I'm a more skilled magsorc because I had that toon for longer than the magplar. They are always messing with the skills for any class, like for the update 13 they nerfed nightblades, so if you base your choice mainly in other people's opinion of what is best, that is gonna be based on how things are now, and it might change...
"The Imperials are good for business, and business is good for Skyrim."
If you want deal damage, go sorc. If support your group, go templar.
You still have options to build a Templar so the radiant nerf isn't that much of an issue.
They're still the best healers, and stamina templars just got a buff.
I'm not even mentioning RD when speaking about mplar dps. Mplar capability of damage dealing is clunky in comparison with Sorc's capability.
1) Dark Flare. Can't be cast in most ways. Too long animation and cast. Crystal frags just better.
2) Sweeps. It's melee. It suffers of snares, fps, roots, it's avoidable due to simple movement, can be intercepted by target which is not your priority. Force pulse \ staff weaving is more reliable.
So yes, sorcs do better kill target, and can be very good in group pvp to due to aoe stun and negate. If OP wants to kill in pvp, there are more effective ways than Templar's.
