Stealth has been very strong for a long time. The Addon simply tilts the favor away from pure burst-stealth play (A setup that has been overperforming most of the current patch) and more towards builds that do not rely so heavily on stealth (Roughly 7/8 builds in cyrodiil. Since MagBlades rely more on a sustained damage setup and siphoning and less of a raw burst that StamBlades do.)

Try adjusting to a less stealth-centric play. Use cloak as a combat/disruption/disengage tool (Detect potions are less likely to be used if you start an open fight and cloak midway. Remember: People slot anti-stealth to counter alpha-strike/ganking.) and rely less on alpha-striking. Perhaps try a heavier armor setup yourself, or even try swapping to magBlade if you are having trouble with stamblade build. You may have more success until the next major adjustment/balence/meta shift.

If all else fails, you can always group up.

It sucks big time but this isn't the first time there have been game-breaking exploits in the game. This too will pass.
i largely olay on PC but I have a stamblade on xb1. I can tell you tbis, theres something fishy going on in Cyrodiil on the xb1. There are instances where I am stealthed behind a rock or trees, and somehow certain players know exactly where I am.

Detect potions brother! I have a stack of potions ready to go for when i ever see a nightblade go hidden near me.

    no.

im talking about my already being stealthed and players drifting off from their zerg and running right to where I am.

Not saying that consoles don't have the possibility for cheaters, but there are other more plausible explanations for that. The main one I'm thinking about is the red particle effect from cloak; it can be seen whenever the user casts cloak even if they don't become visible themselves. I have found NBs by just going to the last place I saw the red particle effect and using a detect pot.

Bro I play on PC 80% of the time. I dont have cloak slotted on my NB on Xb1. When my dungeon queue pops on PC I park my XB1 character afk. My TV sits next to my computer. I watched a magicka sorc and his pets run straight to me. I was behind some white birch trees stealthed, some big rocks nearby. I was there stealthed and afk like 20 minutes. I dont recall which Keep it was, but I watched hundreds of players run pass me off in the distance. No one had any business being where I was.

Im teling you, something fishy going on there.

just a little background. I honestly put maybe 3 hours a week into XB...mainly farting around with my wife. When i am in the room with her I always overhear people on console talking about stealth hacks/bugs or whatever and how some players are running around to exactly where stealth players are. I played PC Cyrodiil enough to shrug off the hack rumors to zergtatoes who get farmed by 1 or 2 players and cant explain it otherwise

However I have witnessed firsthand this behavior on XB1. I can enter stealth from a field, approach a keep and watch zerg fight from a distance. Then i can watch 1 or 2 players break off from the zerg and run to where I am hiding. If I didnt know any better, I would say it is almost as if I wasnt stealthed at all.

I will try to take some video footage this weekend...though with my luck, probably wont see this issue again until I turn the cam off :p

There's a new mod in town...

i am not talking about an add-on

It's been awhile since I've checked so it may have been fixed, but it may not have been...

If someone who has the ingame combat text turned on puts a DOT on you and you use your cloak... They will see "Miss" at your current location every time the DOT would have ticked...

Like I say this may have been fixed, but I have no clue.

Well, the stupid troubleshooting is... were you between the zerg and someplace they might want to be? With Cyrodiil you do need to be somewhat mindful of how the map is laid out, to avoid ending up on a direct path between another player and some random delve they need to reup their buff.

Spies maybe? I was on my DC NB following an AD scroll run (in stealth) when a fellow DC ran over to me, then ran off WITH the AD group. Members of this AD group then came over to exactly where I was and murdered me. I hear this kind of thing happens a lot. Maybe someone in your alliance was near you and gave up your position. I'm also on XB1 NA.

When I'm in Cyro and I can't mount my horse or my spider sense is otherwise tingling, I go straight for the most obvious hiding spots I can see, i.e. the rocks and trees mentioned.

There doesn't have to be foul play involved. Maybe the same players caught you hiding in the same place before?

Try as I may I can never seem to provide an ounce of sympathy for Night Blades.

    I tried again

    I failed

I have sympathy for all classes but templars. Templars could just go and die in fire.

Well you know we all got told to learn to play when complaining about being ganked by NB's
Use Magelight. Travel alternative routes, don't travel alone etc
So people did, do all three, have 5k more HP and pots to cover the gaps
cake and eat it, shoes on alternative feet and so on

    @dwemer_paleologist - hi,
there are "legal" ways of detecting stealthed enemies,
these include but are not limited to:
    1) Detection potions - craftable
    2) Armour sets like Sentry
    3) Skills like Magelight.

These are perfectly acceptable and one should learn to counter each when it happens,

Then there are the "non-legal" IMO (chosen this option rather than illegal as zennimax is still investigating.)
    1) Any Addon that gives the player such a huge advantage like identifying when a stealthed attack is about to happen.
