Worried about stamplar nerfs

I main a stamplar and am concerned over the "balancing stamina and magicka" in the coming patch. Might get some push back but I really don't think stamplars need a nerf of any kind. They are the weakest stamina class now in PVE and PVP, and across the board nerfs to stamina could/would put them at the bottom of the food chain.
Also, I have seen a lot of complaining on the forums over templars' purge. Please do not nerf this ability. Is it a hard counter to DKs? Yes it is although they have other forms of burst damage available to them, so it's not like it renders them totally useless. Plus, a templar has to be constantly purging to keep DOTs off of them. What is wrong with one class being a hard counter to another? DKs themselves are hard counters to magicka sorcs.
If you take away a relatively inexpensive purge (although stamplars can't spam it anymore since cost increase) then stamplars will have very few useful class abilities to differentiate them as a class. Nobody uses PoL in PVP. Jabs is a decent spammable skill but you need dizzying swing anyway for the hard hitting stun and won't kill any halfway decent player by spamming jabs. Restoring focus is really nice but has less utility than hurricane. Repentance is only useful when there are a lot of bodies around, which for a solo or small group player is rarely. And more than half of the class passives are totally useless. I just hope ZOS is looking at how the upcoming balance changes impact each class so once does not get completely screwed over.

✭✭✭✭I highly doubt Stamplars will be subject to any nerfs this round. I also doubt Templars will see any mechanical changes or re-working of passives that would help develop a Stamplar niche, which is unfortunate.
So they will likely remain a mostly hollow weapon class with a nice purge and ranged CC but no deep synergy with class skill lines.
I think it would be awesome if Burning Light was changed to proc on any Physical or Magic DOT rather than DD Aedric Spear abilities.
It would also be great if Sacred Ground cut immobilize and snare efficacy and duration by 50% for the Templar while in his circles rather than snaring enemies (too many snares out there already).
It would be cool if Radiant Aura also granted the Templar Minor Lifesteal and Minor Expedition while active instead of those poopy regen buffs that clash with potions.
It would be fantastic if Master Ritualist actually had a benefit for the Templar. How about heavy attack speed increased by 10-20% and heavy attack damage increased by 5%?
It would be slick if Crescent Sweep gave Minor Berserk while active.
It would be the bee's knees if Light Weaver and Enduring Rays did something beneficial...

Would be especially slick if the range on crescent sweep was increased a couple meters so you could count on hitting the person in front of you when you use it.Buff Soft Caps1 -

We can never guess where Wrobel will take the balance but we know he like Templars to have a House .
Anyways he stated one goal was making health more important . So expect some crazy tinkering that makes very little sense to be implemented to bring this to fruition .
He's balancing DK , I'm scared already but they do need a boost .
I wouldn't expect anything to be done to Stam Templar that is not a cross the board for all classes stamina based . Still we have to wait and see , it's Wrobel . Expect the unexpected .1 -

Yep, I dislike this aoe snare (no more snares, you zos!) but I'd prefer some root immunity but no more buffs to our purge. It will become op.Boadrig, EU PC

✭✭✭✭✭I think the main focus of calls for nerfs is damage due to armor procs. Most of the complaints I see about specific skills aren't class skills (Shuffle, effectiveness of Rally/Vigor). No specific stamina class, IMO, is in need of a nerf, just the tools they've been given enabling them to tank, heal, and burst DPS at a high level while sacrificing nothing thanks to armor sets.0 -

Kutsuu✭✭✭✭✭I believe the phrase used by Wrobel was something like "balance for Magicka vs Stamina" with a context of reducing stamina and increasing magicka. Although even that is concerning, since IMO some of the most well-rounded strongest builds on the battlefield are magicka based. I absolutely LOVE my magplar - she's a total beast who doesn't need proc sets to leave the proctatoes in the dirt. I'm afraid that fights will get a lot more boring when they don't have the proc burst to make me sweat a bit. And that's just the PVP side of discussion... Look at Trials - I'm seeing stuff like "Only bring one or two Pro stam DPS at most if you want competitive scores. They die too easy and bring less to the group." I've been asking for advice on trials and people tell me "well first you need to get a magicka DPS setup since it's a lot easier"...
I guess my point is that balance isn't so skewed as it's been made out to be, and a major blanket adjustment could be terrible. I've already prepared for this - I now have a magblade, magsorc, magdk, and magplar setup in case my stam builds become too weak to enjoy playing.
