Reactive armor mechanics

1: Does it work when rooted?
2: Does it work when snared?

I assume any stun/fear will proc it.

I believe it does not. Just about every ability snares or roots so that would make reactive more op than it is

In tooltip Reactive works when imobilized. Roots imobilize, snares don't, but I didn't wear Reactive and never tested it.

I knowsnares used to activate it not sure they fixed it.I remember I used to ambush people and it would proc.

Ambush used to immobilize thats why.

Rooted, silence, fear, fossilized, stun, knockdown yes. Not snare.

How is this set trash? Does it not negate 35% of any attack that has a stun tied to it? Im talking about Dawnbreaker, Incap, Meteror, Soul Tether, Dragon Leap. Would these ultimates deal 35% less damage because they all stun or it is only follow up damage aftwr being stunned?

Id have to test this to find out. A lot of players are really cc oriented to kill. Could be worth it.

Reactive is OP if your intention is to annoy people. These days, I mostly see Templars running with it.

Had a go with it on my magsorc for a bit..

It added a LOT to survivability - since most deaths come when getting cc'd then burst down while unable to re-shield quickly enough.. 35% reduced damage also applies to dmg done to shields.. so the shield lasts longer, then what gets through = hvy armour + plenty of impen and still the 35%.

But I don't use it now though,.. I prefer the higher dmg + sustain from light armour

Shhh @Alucardo you stop that! I've murdered many fishermen in the IC and I love that delicious low-hanging fruit. The last thing I want to see is a horde of Reactive fishermen taking over my city.

Reactive armor = Mobile Ultimate Dispenser Units. These tanks are like droids that follow your group around and rebuild your ultimate for another bomb run.

Reactive does not proc on snares, or at least it didn't last patch. ZoS may have messed the coding up - who knows.

Albeit it's quite easy to have 100% uptime on reactive while in small or large scale PvP with the amount of CCs being spammed. Not to mention the amount of immobilize "soft CCs" that don't give any kind of immunity.

People like you are the reason I run defensive rune while fishing in IC xD

Good on ya. But I don't play a Nightblade and never stealth. I rarely run damage proc sets and never more than one. So if you are quick on the break-free and don't get two-shot by Dizzy/ulti, we can have ourselves a merry little skirmish.

Ah that's cool then. You'd be surprised the amount of Nightblades that tried ganking me while I was fishing. With defensive rune they get stunned after the first ambush and get a little salty. I love ruining their day.
One time AD dropped 4 ice comets on me while I was fishing... that was a bit a extreme. Finally got my IC fishing achievement though.
