Maintenance on a weekend?

Currently it's Saturday night here in Aus so while I wait for eso to go back online I think I will play skyrim remastered or witcher 3

Oh. My. God. The feeling when you haven't played all week and finally have the time to open the game and it saaaays..... servers are down for maintenance. Seriously. Is this for real happening

and of course it's from 11.am to 6.pm. Soo basically the whole day. Awesome, so incredibly awesome.

From what I have read on Reddit... People are exploiting VMA to get more than 2 weapons during the Orsinium event (Iguess there are videos of people getting 4 after each run).

If in fact this is the reason for the hotfix then any and all who exploited this bug should absolutely get banned as they have caused a great inconvenience to a lot of us!!

If its really the drops in VMA, I call this bs. There were (and still are) so many glitches in the game that took weeks until fixed, some are never fixed at all. This one with a bound drop needs a hotfix and can't wait until monday?

So what ? Exploiting an another [z] bug(!!!) by some people... is not a reason to rollback everyone on saturday !

But that 6AM time frame then equals out to EU players to be... +5 = 11AM, +6 - Noon, +12 = 6PM.

And a good sown time for EU players would be , lets say 2 AM (so the 6 hour downtime would have the server back up by 8 AM for them). Now we have a reversed situation here. To take the servers down at 2AM in NA would mean (-5) = 9PM, (-6) =
8 PM and (- 12) = 2PM.

There isn't 1 person whom any of this would make them happy.

Best scenario is to just do 2 different maintenances. at 2 different times.

But I don't think we will see Zos do that.

*NOTE If there are mistakes in my calculations... blame it on NOT ENOUGH COFFEE yet LOL

Saturday 6 hour Maintenance is abit of a braindead decision, all weekdays are not equal.

But Tyranny just released, so guess I'll have a look at that in the meantime.

The issue isn't really the hotfix which I imagine could have been applied quickly and possibly without taking the servers down. It's the decision to apply Monday's incremental patch prime time (for EU) on a Saturday which I assume accounts for the 6 hour outage.

I work a 170 hours week which doesn't leave much time for gaming!

You know, I would accept if there were some exploiters doing their "job" until Monday, but I'd really like to play on the weekend. I know maybe I'm alone with my opinion, but sry, I have time for playing mostly on the weekends, so I'm a bit frustrated now.

Huh? Nowhere in the links you posted does it say that today's hotfix is for Proc Sets... it actually states that they are"exploring some solutions for the current situation with proc sets". The fact that they are "exploring" some solutions would be a strong indicator that there is nothing to hotfix/patch for proc-set issues at this time.

I am still leaning towards today's hotfix is for the 'VMA multiple weapon exploit" but unless ZOS clearly states what today's patch is for then it is just a guessing game for us all.

Very lame. You don't decide to add a full maintenance on a weekend. This pretty much wipes out my playtime for today, as I usually play from 5am-11am EST Saturdays. For EU, it's even worse. It's the friggin weekend. Monday morning maintenence's are pretty much irrelevant for most people as they are working.

Terrible decision.

A lot of them just came in on the weekend for us, holiday weekend even. So we may not be able to play this morning but at least we are not at work. Thank you for coming in on the weekend for this ZOS, it was getting out of hand in PvP. Also, I wonder if we don't see some little nugget in the hotfix for VMA.

I hope this URGENT FIX includes an option to turn off those notifications every time some one clears vMSA or trial...I'm so sick of them lately...but even that is not urgent enough reason for SATURDAY MAINTENANCE...

Shame on you ZOS...ripping customer every week at least 8-12 hours of playtime and not even acknowledging or apologiesing for it...

NA and/or the unemployed/students probably don't care about this as much. Some from NA even see EU as "whiny", since we pretty much complain about downtime. I'd say, downtime is alright, at the right time, not during the late morning until late afternoon! I'd love for ZOS to give NA the EU maintenance treatment, and see if they'd just sit through it without a single complaint.

There had better been a seriously game-breaking problem to have warranted a hot fix downtime on a Saturday! Because if it wasn't, then why do we have to sit through all the bugs that are still in the game that haven't been given any attention, hmm? Help us calm down, tell us what needed urgent fixing. It it was something serious, then we'll most likely be able to get over it, despite the massive inconvenience.
It better not have been a fix because a couple of stones were a couple shades of grey off. I'm Exaggerating, I know, but you get my point.

It is seriously bad business practice to completely disregard their EU customers. How about they let NA go through the inconvenience, from time to time.
