If ESO needs fixing NOW and it just happens to be a Saturday then that's tough on all of us that is concerned about it but Saturday is just another day to me. Right now, it may as well be Tuesday 11.00 GMT.
Can't please all the people all the time.

We’re currently estimating console downtime to be approximately 4 hours, and PC/Mac downtime to be closer to 6 hours. We’ll update the banner at the top of the forum as each maintenance is complete, and will publish the PC patch notes during tomorrow's maintenance.''
At least we are not getting a maintenance at this monday.

It look like it was a 'small hotfix' but they'be decided to do it along with Monday's incremental patch (hence the 6 hour downtime for a hotfix!). I've no idea why the hotfix could wait until Monday!

I honestly don't know what needs to be hotfixed - sure if it is something that is allowing exploits, or compromising account security, then fix it asap. But bundling in the next patch so the servers are down for several hours at the weekend (during the day/evening for a large number of players) seems a bit rash.

That's not rash, it's just an absurdly, *** decision. I can't understand how anyone from ZOS thought "hey i got a great idea, lets inc the maintanance with the hotfix, on a saurday, during EU day time" and thought no one would kick off.
