Everything was fine... then suddenly a weekend patch CLEARLY INDICATING there was something NOT FINE.
So why not just stick to the classic patch days and just DO IT RIGHT instead of messing it up again.10 -

They will probably not announce the reasons until the patch is on the way.
If it is an exploit some people would read it and start exploiting as long as possible.
(like the Maw of Lorkhaj Chest issue... i am honest... if I had knew about it I'd have used it as long as I'd gotten my Divine Twilight Embrace)0 -

If you need a hotfix, do that quickly. But to include the monday path here and prolong the downtime on a weekend...do you at @ZOS really think? Do you really understand your customers?
Furthermore, "need" ... what kind of need would that be? We have a lot of gamebreaking bugs that don't get fixed for weeks or months. What kind of bug suddenly is that urgend it can't wait two more days?
Compared to other games, patch management in ESO is really bad. Hotfixes in other games take minutes to install, and even feature patches seldom take more than an hour. Weekly maintenance happens, but is much shorter. Download sizes are much smaller (but the game itself is as large as the tamriel world). And most importtant: bugs like broken skills or mechanics are fixed within a few days (or the feature gets disabled until fixed).
