Horribly rare and expensive set. How we are able to test it, I wonder.

If you're talking about spinners it isn't rare; I've managed to loot a full set of purple jewels for me, my brother and a guildie in just a few days of not particularly intensive farming. I got the full set for my guildie in about half an hour. Malabal tor dolmens can be done back to back constantly if you have a max speed mount with rapids. The jewels only come in the best trait so the only rng is quality. I got lucky with an impen head from a public dungeon and then bought an impen shoulder for 15k. Gave a divines shoulder to my guildie. Go farm it, it really isn't rare.

why not make some money then? i'm buying a sharpenend lightning staff for 500k (on EU) if you want to sell this "not rare" set.

There are 4 magica sets including this one i am farming up currently.

Of ALL the sets I have had one lightning staff (charged) drop and you are asking for the most sought after trait.

I get the point you are trying to make, but you are doing a poor job of making it. I have plenty of jewelry and armour for all the sets as well as the guy you quoted.

i'm only reacting to the statement that they are so easily farmed. ps: i've looted and sold several precise staves already, i own a sharpenend fire staff. i know about rarities, prices, etc.

btw if you farm one of the new sets instead of crafted ones and then use a non sharpened trait, you should better spend your time in math classes than farming...

It might be a good set for soloing or for pvp but for optimized groups even without alkosh I think it's overkill on pve mobs with everyone running sharpened now.

It's 6,4% dmg increase if you take the enemy to exactly 0% resists. However, the higher resists the target has, the higher dmg increase it gives. Lets say you run sharpened, 5 light armor passive and spinners. Vs a target with 30k base resists its a dmg increase of 9%. While it is useless vs shields, there arent that many targets running shields in current meta. And almost no targets really run much lower than 14k resists. Vs your average Black rose+dps set user with 23k resists, its a 7,5% increase. Also you only need to have the 5 set bonus active on front bar for most setups. Overall id say thats a damn good set for pvp, especially since the 2-4 set bonuses are good too. And its even higher dmg increase if you run 5 heavy.

But, would that not open up a bunch of other possibilities?

I.E. If I'm running spinner, then the other dps can run Precise/Infused or whatever for more damage?

I wonder if that would be a significant dps gain and what the best trait to use would be, opposed to sharpened.

Spinner increases YOUR penetration. It doesn't lower the players or monsters. Using this set does not aid in your groups damage, only your own.

    Hope that helps
