✭I get you. I have a love and hate relationship with the game, the developers and the company. ESO is great but could be so much more. The let downs sucked so badly. Features promised but never delivered. It is like having a wife who beats you everyday but she also makes good love with you and you stay hoping she will change

LegendaryArcher✭✭✭✭In my opinion, Black Desert Online is much better than ESO. Huge Elder Scrolls fans will have a hard time adjusting to the different lore though when quitting ESO for BDO. But that's pretty much it.
1. Better graphics.
2. Much less lag.
3. More complex combat system with a higher skill cap (even though ESO is really not bad in this aspect).
4. Much less monotone PvP (all you can do in ESO is sieging and gank in IC). In BDO you have tons of different PvP content, including open world PvP with ship combat at sea.
5. And this is the sole reason I quit ESO: Better loot system! I wanted 4 vMA weapons in ESO: Sharpened Inferno, Sharpened Maul, Sharpened Bow and a Precise Resto. After 300 vMA runs I only got 1 Precise Resto, which is a nice thing to have, but most of the time useless for me as a DD. Looking at others who haven't gotten their desired weapons after 1000+ runs, as a competitive gamer, I refuse to support or play this game. If ZOS would've at least made them equally hard to get for everyone, it would've been fair. But they were handing them out in Sharpened before DB to everyone and now players can't get them anymore. So not only the loot system sucks, but also ZOS's decisions are extremely unfair and can only drive competitive players away.
Now let's take a look at BDO.
a) Smart loot system: whenever you don't get item X, chance for item X to drop increases on next try, until 100%.
b) Items that are not subject to the smart loot system are always BoE.
c) Token system.
Now someone may come and say, "But I still don't have my Kzarka weapon!" Well, they're BoE! Farm other things, make money, buy them. Yes, you'll have to invest effort of close to 50 vMA runs, but ffs, people aren't getting their vMA weapons even after 1000+ runs. And even after 1000 runs there is no guarantee that it won't take another 5000 runs to actually get the weapon... or maybe they won't even get it after 10000 runs. In a solo arena. ESO is like dating a good looking girl that teases you with flashing bits of cleavage and whats to come if you treat her right.
Shes really fun most of the time and the hours fly by when youre together. Birds sing in the sky and the sun shines.
But occasionally, she has those moments where you have to keep repeating yourself, or whatever you say just doesn’t sink in (lag)
Some days she says shes washing her hair in the morning and wont be out. And some days she doesn’t turn up at all, without any explanation.
She then reignites my interest with a new dress, looking mighty fine again and we start the whole circle of life again.
The downside is coming on the forum and reading all about the negative stuff from those that have ‘been before’

Well... ZOS is definitely a "9 or 10" on the Crazy scale, and ESO is a "5 or above" on the Hot scale. ESO is fun, definitely has the air of danger, but will never make a good wife.
