I've recently changed the way I play my StamSorc due to the changes in heavy armor and how powerful it is in pvp. I use sword and shield on my main bar and bow on my back bar. My race is Redguard.
Here's my gear:
- 5pc heavy hundings rage or 5pc black rose - all impen, all stamina enchants (still trying to find what I like best before I gold out the gear)
- 2pc bloodspawn - my helmet is infused so I use a prismatic glyph on it and my shoulder is well-fitted
- 3pc agility - all robust, all weapon damage enchants
- 2pc lekis - sword and shield main bar / 1pc whatever bow on back bar
I use the serpent mundus stone and also use max health + stam regen food. This gets me to about 2.5k stam recovery. Using Dark Deal I don't have any problems with resources. I may even switch to max health / max stam food.
I went vampire on this character for the stamina and magicka regen and extra tankiness at low health.
For skills I use:
MAIN BAR: Bound Armaments, Rearming Trap, Vigor, Invasion, Ransack, ULT: DBoS
BACK BAR: Bound Armaments, Hurricane, Crit Surge, Dark Deal, Poison Injection, ULT: Absorption Field
If you use Power Overload on your back bar you could put crit surge and rearming trap on that bar and put streak and shuffle on your main/back bars respectively. It really opens a lot of options for StamSorc which makes us unique.
I usually run through Imperial City Sewers/Districts with this setup. You may want to change a few things for open world Cyrodiil. This build has been very effective in small group play taking on larger groups to capture IC districts. Overall I am having a lot of fun with this setup and find it a lot more effective than the glass cannon StamSorc I was running in previous patches.
Hope this helps!

@DinOwned Thanks! What is your primary damage? Weaving with Ransack?
I know you said you wanted bow for speed buff, but I think you should consider my heavy sorc build, just because it is so damn strong. I go dual wield and 1h&s with 5 black rose, 2 bloodspawn, 3 agility / 2 end on DW bar, and 2 agility / 3 end on sword and shield. I'm currently 6H/1M but I'd prefer 7H to maximize black rose returns.
Skills are on DW - Bloodthirst, Bloodcraze, Crit Surge, Hurricane, Bound Armaments, DBOS
1h&s - Invasion, Dark Deal, Vigor, Streak, Bound Armaments - Overload
Overload - Lightweight Beast Trap, Razor Caltrops, Retreating Maneuver / Shuffle , Streak, Bound Armaments
I've been a stam sorc for a while and I've used Wrecking Blow and Pierce Armor as my spam DPS before, and Bloodthirst is now my favorite by far. It's pretty fast and synergizes well with procing Implosion. It works awesome with a heavy weave so you benefit more from the heavy armor passive restoring resources (don't need as much stam regen) and Bound Armaments extra heavy armor damage. I feel like not enough people have given Bloodthirst/Flurry a try yet in PVP as their basic spam. I've tried really hard to go DW/Bow but I just can't give up having a gap closer. I even tried using Silver Leash as my gap closer on bow bar and it just wasn't reliable enough.
Hurricane plus Caltrops basically guarantees I will always get my crit surge heals even with only 35% crit before Major Savagery. I play elusive/defensive at first, try to let them waste some resources, then land a Beast Trap, Bloodcraze, and heavy attack weave Bloodthirst. With Hurricane running and the optional use of Dawn Breaker I have great damage going out and huge incoming heals. If I get someone down to 15% it's game over with all that overlapping damage having a chance to proc Implosion.
It really seems like Sorc is a great class for heavy armor because it has Dark Deal to overcome the low natural stam regen of heavy armor and Hurricane gives us back some of the speed we miss out on from medium passives.
