What's with the insane lag in group dungeons these days?

I don't remember having lag issues with group dungeons a while ago. I think since a couple month ago it began to be an issue with WGT/ICP when they were the daily pledges, and now it seems to be spreading to other dungeons, such as CoA (today's daily vet pledge)
The lag issues that I am talking about are something that the entire group (and people who I've talked to outside the group) are experiencing, not only me, so there is clearly an issue here which isn't getting any better so far. There used to be next to no lag in PvE, and now it seems to be spreading more and more.
Will we be seeing further decline in performance down the road?

I got this multiple times now. Mostly in the undaunted pledge dungeon. And I'am on PC.
Yesterday we lagged through Wayrest Sewers Gold Pledge, at the end the NPC bugged out and the end boss/bosses didn't spawn. And yes the instance was laggy for the whole grp, not only me.
The same happened to me multiple times over the last week/weeks.
I'm on PC EU.
