Looking at the bow line, which some people consider it weak (not me, by the way) If there's something we all agree is that there one skill which seems nearly useless and that's scatter shot. The idea of a gap opener is a good one for an archer, though I think, in the case of this skill, it is not very well implemented.
Archers need to keep distance from their objetctive, and a skill that works at 10 mts is not going to help that distance, less if the shot puts you at 6 mts away (max 16 mts). Besides that, the shot can be avoided through the major evasion buff. In other words, if the enemy rolls, the shot is missed and the skill did nothing.
I've seen only one video of a guy using the skill efficiently and that was with the magnus shot morph. He was a Stam sorc who mixed that skill with bolt escape (IDK which morph...) The key in that build was mobility and I think that's the key to improve the skill. Why? Because the most important factor in that skill is the way it opens distance between the objective and the archer, not the shot, so. Why not improve that?
What I'm suggesting is quite simple and uses Magnum shot as base instead of the current skill: jump back first, then shoot.
So, you press the button, the character jumps back (can be a backflip if you want) and in the air he shoots the arrow. Though, if you miss the shoot, you can still keep your distance with the enemy.
You can keep the current effects (disorient and heal in one, knock back in the other) if you want, or add something new, but the idea is to have an efficient gap opener for the archer line and not one that only works if you accomplish with certain conditions.
Sarcasm is something too serious to be taken lightly
I was born with the wrong sign

Used the wrong method with the wrong technique
