Oh, pretty sure my empowered proc frags hits for 8 - 10k in cyrodiil (edit: non crit, in practice above opponents head on scroll text, unless they're tanky as !@#$ obviously)
In order to hit for 10.125 crit with 1.75x you'd have to be empower/proc fragging for 5.78k (on 0 resist impen???)
So you'd have a tooltip damage of like 8k? (20% empower 20% proc) 8 * 1.2 * 1.2 = 11.52 / 2 = 5.76
@Waffennacht 1.75x is the maximum critical damage modifier with CP
aka, you deal 175% total damage when critting.
Empowered and frags proc _do_ stack, since frag proc does not grant 'empower', it is a buff called 'Crystal Fragments proc' which stacks with empower (try it on NPC, it's obvious)
75% crit reduction actually negates 75% crit damage in a literal sense, that is to say
if you have 4700 impen or w/e and your opponent has 100 CP in +crit damage (of magicka/stamina) the crit will come to 1x modifier rather than 1.75x
If you have a crit rating of 3300(ish) and your opponent has 0 CP and crits you, it will do the same damage as if it were not a crit. That is, it reduced 33% of the 'total' damage, or the entire crit (edit: another way to say this is you would have dealt 50% more damage). If you negate a 75% crit mod, this is roughly a 43% damage reduction (would have dealt 75% more), compared to whatever damage they would have done had you had 0 impen.
@Waffennacht It's limited to reducing the crit back to a non crit
Like if you have 4700 impen (transmutation) and your opponent has 0CP in +crit
It will still only reduce the crit from 1.5x to 1x, it will NOT make it do less damage than a non crit
I feel like you think it takes the bonus damage and subtracts from that, but it subtracts from their bonus _modifier_ not their _damage_
