The cookie cutter: Dark Brotherhood sorc builds

Hardened Ward

That's mostly my build with a few changes. I use boundless storm on the back-bar because of the considerable increase in armor. It's enough that it should negates sharpened (5K or so phys), we'll need the defense. Dampen on the back bar isn't useful, it burns out five seconds after you're done switching, meaning you would need to switch back every 3 seconds to keep it up. No thanks. Boundless will last for over 20, so you can backbar it with 30-second surge.

I think I see what's up with the wards on his bars. Seems pretty clever to me!

Using Dampen magic like hardened ward to protect healing ward when low on health.

And, use Dampen magic on that bar so the few times you do switch bars you get about a 3 sec window of stacking wards. At no real effort as you gotta be hitting it a lot anyway.

I like the build

But of course a lot of our builds are gonna share a lot of the moves...

Returned to PvP tonight with my sorc. I've been running my post-DB build for about a week, so I was comfortable with it.

Even with the Lich set, I was running out of magicka. My DPS dropped to about half what it was and I really couldn't burst anyone down solo. I died, a LOT. Seems like everyone got the CC the sorc memo. Could I adapt? Maybe. Trimming my slotted skills down in favor of maxxing out magicka with inner light/bound aegis/Mage mundus is a possibility. Certainly some players seem to be managing.

And even if not running solo, sorcs could still have a place in PvP groups providing support - heals, purges, negates, CC.

But honestly micromanaging my hardened ward just wasn't fun. I've been developing this aggressive melee style sorc and that just doesn't work at all now.

So I logged out and grabbed my templar. Had fun even though I still need to learn to play him in PVP. It's pretty sad when your Tyro ranked templar on his first non-healbot outing is more successful than your AR22 sorc.

This was pretty must what i experienced. Getting knocked down once is pretty much a death sentence, pretty lame.

Yeah, you won't last without four or five pieces of impen. You also need to keep boundless storm up, light armor physical resist is eliminated by the new sharpened trait. With boundless, at least it wasnt a three shot. More like four or five.

@Wrobel needs to understand that this won't work, and isn't working.
