Unlock framerate option for consoles

Hello,

I'm one of those who switched from PC version of ESO to console and I'm liking he game much more that way. One thing that I miss about PC version was higher framerate. Even 40 FPS feels so much better than 30. I know consoles have their limitations but why not give an option to UNLOCK FPS? More and more games have this right now (Hitman, Ark) and it's the best thing ever IMO. If console can't handle it and runs at 26 FPS in the city when many players are around then be it, but if I'm alone in the desert, I'd love to have that 40-60 fps experience. It makes a huge difference and makes my eyes way less tired after long gaming session. Bethesda, give us an OPTION to unlock fps, for those who like it that way.

Well neither console can run it consistently higher than the locked 30 FPS

It's already laggy and FPS drops occur in all read
Not sure that ur request will give better FPS unless you had all the video options in settings.

It's not about running it consistently. It's about running it at higher FPS when possible. Unlocking FPS will not make the game more laggy, it will only show more frames when possible. Unlocked games on consoles run around 20-50 fps and that's fine. If at given moment you can get more FPS why not take the chance and enjoy smoothness for a while? I'm confident that at most places in the game ESO can run atleast at 40 FPS on console. Only cities and pvp is where FPS drop a lot. Other areas are fairly simpe and don't use much resources. Hell, I'd even be glad to have interiors running at higher FPS. I know Bethesda is trying to have consistent framerate, but an option for those who appreciate more varied but smoother at times framerate, wouldn't hurt.

The problem is that this won't work on the GPU that is in either the Xbox or Playstation for this particular title because they contain laptop GPUs that were essentially obsolete when the game was released.

So you want the whole array of PC settings on consoles in other words....
I don't think that's gonna happen but it doesn't hurt to ask

I just want the slider for UI scale......seems normal to me to have it but ....nope

Im sure they may offer something like higher frame rates for Playstation 4.5 and whatever Hardware updates Xbox One is talking about possibly doing.

I don't think he ever said that.
He just wants to remove the FPS limit so it can go above 30 in some parts of the game.

There isn't a FPS slider. In order to raise FPS, you must lower multiple other graphics settings just like on PC.

We never used to get fps drops on console, even at launch in cities with the higher populations we had back then, I've only noticed consistant fps drops and crashes since TG.

Yup. I rewatched clips of me soloing IC bosses. Smooth 30FPS throughout and FAST weapon swaps/animation cancels. Since Thieves Guild 20FPS is the typical framerate and weapon swaps/animation cancels feel much slower. Very noticeable dip in performance.

It works like that. Did you try to play hitman? You can UNLOCK FPS in options, one tick and game goes from 20-60 FPS depending on the situation. If you LOCK the framerate, game goes from 20-30. Simple as that. Same is in ARK Survival evolved. Framerate is unlocked and it varies from 20 to 50 FPS.

I think you don't understand how it works, my friend. XBOX and PS4 can output ESO in higher framerate in many areas, but devs LOCKED it, not allowing the game to render more than 30 frames, even if you'd look into the sky where there isn't anything to render. It's made that way to keep it "consistent" and less distracting.

I'm not asking for any slider, any graphic settings, that would suck. All I ask is for 1 ON/OFF switch for FPS lock.

And I thought it's just me and my wife having problems :O. Visited Riften yesterday...felt like I'm trying to play Crysis on a 6 years old laptop. Didn't get that before all the updates.
