Guess that CP-less Campaign didn't solve anything.

I was playing some IC and there was a EP Zerg in the arena causing tremendous lag on the No Champion point campaign; there was only 1 bar EP and AD no bars for DC. The arena had a 20 man or less EP zerg fighting the arena boss over and over again and even with that I was lagging so bad.
I lagged so hard that when I got hit with a WB thanks to a certain daedric enemy, I couldn't break free and ended up dying.

I went to the sewers and a group of 15 EP were grinding out the vampire at the blood slaughter house, the lag there was also horrible. We all know what the solution is thanks to a clever individual(s) who made a post about a certain something being removed from server calculations which lightened the load on the server but unfortunately even though it's gotten a lot of traction it still has yet to be tested out on PTS. It's laggs all over Tamerial now not just PvP but PvP is the worse one.

-Discuss.

Golly, good sir or madam, I get the distinct impression you're cleverly masking a reference to AoE Caps. Jolly good, I say. Jolly good.

Caps created Zergs created lagblobs created more lag from Proxy Det created more lag from VD'splosions. <-- PvP area in a nutshell. ;)
'Okay, the question is...(laughter)...the question is, we have Vicious Death sets with Prox Det that are doing double damage from last patch -- they're doing double damage -- and the CP system scales them even more. Prox Dets are doing over 20k, okay? That's before Vicious Death does 15, m'kay? We're talking like 30k+. Okay.
"So, what about the stamina?" Okay. Um "The 2-handed execute skill--" I'm s--I'm sorry. What? The 2-Handed execute? What?! What am I gonna f***ing do?! Am I gonna execute a f***ing zerg with a 2-Handed slice?!'

It solved the lag on the PS4 (from my own experience). Been in large scale fights lasting over 30 mins with no lag at all.

It also made the combat seem more balanced and more about skill.

I don't think it was ever implemented as a lag fix, zenimax took feedback that people wanted cp removed from non vet campaigns (which I agree and think should have been that way from the start), and removed them from a vet campaign as well, which I don't remember anyone asking for ever. With the CP cap and catch up mechanic non cp vet campaigns do not make any sense long term.

I know they spoke about BWB having less lag than the vet servers before. I don't know if that was attributed to more people on the server being CP free or not though. But it does seem that the non CP vet campaign has pretty much no lag, at least from my experience and that of my guild mates. I guess only time will tell though.

I experience no lag problems with the no CP campaign and I find that it is way more enjoyable and balanced as well.

I think the no lag comes from less people, I haven't seen BWB at more than 2 bars for awhile now.

No one claimed that NO CP would fix the lag. Lag predated CP. There were other factors that kept BwB relatively lag free.

Non-CP gameplay is just better for other reasons regardless of lag and Azuras has health competition on it now.

This is exactly right. Though there were some who were convinced that no CP campaign would mean less lag, the decision to add no CP campaigns in the first place was due to player feedback.

People wanted the option to play in a Cyrodil where CP was put out of the equation mostly as a matter of having the option to do so (the reasons for which vary from trying to test 'true' skill to supposedly reducing lag).

I like Azura on PC, my faction is currently the most populated and I can farm it for ruby mats without running into anyone hostile for most of the zone. For the record, I think Plentiful Harvest CP perk still procs as I get 7-8 mats on pick up from a single node still and 2 for herbs.

Watch the ESO live with Brian wheeler he stated that CP did cause a major factor in server calculation which caused lag so yes someone did claim that CP caused lag in PvP. Please note that I didn't say that CP was the main issue if you thought I did then I suggest you re-read my thread instead of skimming through like you most likely did. (ESO live episode was him using his famous whiteboard)

I said something on the lines like a certain thread was made that addressed why a certain thing in the server calculations were to be removed the quality of connection would be more stable which results in far less lag then what we have now.

I've been playing in Az Star and it was pop locked. The fights were bigger than before they took away the CP (less people hiding in sewers etc). So I'd disagree about the lag being less due to fewer people, certainly with regards to Az Star, can't speak for BWB though.
