Occums razor, they cant fix it, they spent a year trying, its out of their control - most likely the core engine.
or
Every single developer they have hired is incapable of fixing the problems despite it clearly losing the company money and despite the fact the game outwith the lag issues is very high quality.

the problem wasn´t existant before the lightning patch and the bugfixing of the AOE skills not having an AOE-cap...
so your hired contractors were actually the culprits

Loyal fans of ESO have given ZOS chance after chance to make the PVP really playable, but have been disappointed again and again. If ESO would never realize its potential and die much sooner than ZOS had expected, the company can only have itself to blame for this huge pity, because it simply blew things up.

One thing that I will remember from this game is laaaaaaag. Absolutely agree with poster... honestly this subject is beyond comprehension as to why more people are not continously spamming the forms much harder... I see PVE players come to pvp and leave saying how do you guys enjoy this? The sad fact is that most of us have came to expect the lag as part of the game... This is pathetic on ZOS part

Normally PvP during prime time is quite laggy, but usually playable for the most part. Last night I couldn't do anything at all. Enemy players weren't showing up on my screen, horses were invisible (people running super fast instead - was quite funny actually), being hit by abilities that I could not see, having siege on my death recap with absolutely no visible siege around (during an open field battle), etc.
From what I've gathered on the forums and talking to friends in game this is how it's been for the past week. Somehow ZoS has managed to make the lag even worse in PvP. This is as bad as 1.3-1.4 or perhaps even worse.
Edit;
I forgot to add that the pretty pink trees and tic-tac-toe ground is also very amazing. Not to mention sound completely cutting off for absolutely no reason at all.
Welcome to ZO$ new worst DLC
But the company just gave a nominal amount of 1 million to a lucky player!!! What a weird business strategy it is!!! Why not spend the money to improve the game's pvp server to make it playable???
This 1 million lottery was a bait to bring back people who had left the game.
You had to log, etc to have a chance of being rewarded.
They just wanted to bring as many people as possible into their cash shop rather than spending time and money fixing the lag issues.

Correct. Abusive tactic that ignored the players general well being within the game's context.
This game's life rests upon the actions in the next 3 weeks or if another game can come that promises an MMO experience without the AAA abuse.
The chance to be anything like DAoC was purposefully let go of when they decided to Skyrimify the game.oxxalejandroxxo wrote: »I've been quite busy with work and the like since TG has dropped. ZOS could have created a PVP cult much like DAOC was... but they are on track to having ghost servers if they do not fix this problem ... Its a shame such a great game

Agreed. Daoc used to penalize harshly for doing the wrong thing in pvp.
Instead we have smarthealing for everything and not working target locker.
Also the map is terribly designed as ic top levels are not connected to Cyrodiil. The map should promote 3 faction fights instead of two faction fights in three locations on the emperor keep donut.
And any race any faction. Factions not locked to account. All the game's skills being completely redesigned half-way through development because Skyrim players. UI being butchered half-way through development because Skyrim players.Lava_Croft wrote: »The chance to be anything like DAoC was purposefully let go of when they decided to Skyrimify the game.oxxalejandroxxo wrote: »I've been quite busy with work and the like since TG has dropped.
