Dear Bethesda / Zenimax
I don't often post on these forums as I'd rather just spend time actually playing the game, but I have come here to log 2 major complaints.
1:
Obviously the update has changed some skills, and updated them to make improvements, this is all fine. What I am absolutely so sad about is the loss of my Dragonknights Flames of Oblivion visual affect. (I am sure many of those using Magelight feel the same) I understand it is no longer a toggle ability any more, except you get the passive affects as long as the skill is slotted. So when I use it I now just get 15 seconds of fireball launching. I don't really want to get into the intricacies of discussing skill mechanics in depth, I cam here to say that I love and play this game as a roleplayer, I never pvp, and part of what I loved about my character was the visual affects this skill provided. It made her a master of fire, her inner dragon woven into a spell made visable as she traveres the world burning her enemies. And now that's gone.
I don't really understand why this visual affect was taken away unless it has something to do with pvp. In which case could it not just be disabled in Cyrodil?
2:
I recently went through the problem that many EU players were having with crashes on start up. Apparently what had changed was the game now has a minimum system requirement of Direct X11 instead of Direct X 9. Luckily for me I recently updated my motherboard and processer so those are capable of running DX11 while my graphics card is not. Having disabled my graphics card and using the onboard graphics settings I can now run the game. But I do not think it is even slightly fair that minimum game requirements were changed in a patch without any warning. I am lucky to have had this work around but many are not.
Thank you for reading.
