Concerned after seeing the last ESO Live Podcast

I am concerned because:

ZOS are giving us no ETA on any of the things most people seem to care about (class balance, AoE caps, Arena/ BG's..)

Yet instead of being humble/somewhat apologetic they seem extremely pleased with themselves and can't stop saying how the game is in a great state which means they probably care very little about the above.

Anyone else feeling the same? (And yeah I realise I'm going to get some heat from the deeply devoted fans)

A lot of stuff seems to be coming with the Dark Brotherhood DLC as opposed to the Thieves Guild DLC.

Which is a little odd.

Also odd is that there is no trailer or real information on the TG update.

There again, we did not get a trailer for Orsinium until the day before it was released on PTS.

We shall see.

You just care about PvP, they are happy with PvE and said that they are working on improving PvP performance.

Let them improve performance before adding more stuff, I think that'd work well.

Or... keep crying. You're probably good at it.

They're presumably going to adopt the same approach to the Thieves Guild DLC that they adopted with the Orsinium DLC, and release all the information immediately before it goes on the PTS. I imagine we'll see a trailer at that time.

They have given firm dates on some changes, including ESO Plus crafting bags with infinite capacity for materials with the Dark Brotherhood DLC, when I think they also said additional character slots would be available on the Crown Store, but for stuff that is beyond that I can understand them not wanting to jump too far ahead with the information. Some things take a lot of development time and have to be dovetailed in with everything else so that if you announce too much too soon there's always the risk of having the cries of lies and epic fail that follow any slight slippage in the planned timetable.

I'm not trying to defend any particular aspect of their tactics or side with them as a "deeply devoted fan", I'm simply passing on what I heard from the first section of the new ESO Live.

1. Wrong, I wasn't speaking about myself. I am strictly a PvE player.
2. Performance is 1 out of many highly anticipated things currently, which I did not even mention. I doubt you even read my post.

Another malcontent rabble-rouser...

I just watched ESOLive and now I know that urns are used as chamber pots in Tamriel (never looting those again), Nord mead brewers are also marriage counsellors and Gina is gonna have a baby girl (gz btw). What more could you possibly want?!

AOE caps? Battlegrounds and game mechanics? ETAs? Bah... Who needs that.

I think a lot of people are just kind of tired of being stuck with the same 1 or 2 main attack skills. I can only Wrecking Blow so much once in my life with the same single animation over and over and over... it's a great skill, but with 2H equipped there's only so many skills to use. Same with DW. Or staff. Or...

They have left issues unresolved for months and months with barely any communication...all you get is "it's being worked on" for months and unacceptable issues in the game just get left for a very very long time....then more things get broken....

To say "let them have time to improve" is idiotic at this point...

It's a long-standing forum bug - whenever a staff member posts and marks the reply to appear on the Dev Tracker, there's a note that the OP was edited (even though it wasn't).

It did sound like ever reply was - we like the idea but we have no ETA on every question.

The big thing that worried me was the answer to "what else is there in thieves guild dlc for no thieves" - sounded like almost nothing a 12 person trial and some additional base package work content. Which is a bit annoying as I suspect I will have to play a thief to get any of the new content then I will have to play a murder for the dark brotherhood dlc.

PvE players should be concerned about all the broken skill and passives as well.

As far as ESO live goes I find they don't seem as passionate about PvP as they do PvE, which leaves them seeming dismissive of the topic. Though they did say the next* (*not positive if it was literally the NEXT one) incremental patch would have some code improvements for Cyrodiil, and additionally most of the balance issues and fixes we are waiting for were slated for the TG DLC, with only the actual PvP content additions remaining without ETA. I will say that Wheeler and Wrobel are both pretty responsive to the PvP communities woes and seem to address our direct complaints... which shows they must care somewhat right?

It's more that they aren't passionate about endgame content. They want to extend the life of questing to max level and the grind.

I lost confidence with Imperial City. I regained it with Wrothgar, and then some. So long as they can keep on the Wrothgar level of content and writing I'll be happy as a clam. Which, I suppose, is a somewhat ridiculous statement. Do clams get happy? How would you know? Anyway... yeah.

I may be critical of ZOS at times but I love ESO and they've done a good job of improving the game since launch. They just need to get over that that last hurdle.

Yeah, regrettably I watched ESO live on Twitch earlier today and my conclusion?

How completely unprofessional and amateurish.

I am sure that the people on there are very nice people but they did little to nothing in the way of promoting the product and making it something to look forward to.

Why not bring us, the players, into the fold? You guys need seriously help with balance--and your players can provide that help. I honestly don't understand why you aren't seeking it.
