My first attempt took me 6 hours to get to last boss, now i can do it in like 1h 20. You gotta bear with it, it will get easier and cheaper the more you do it.

I have yet to try vMA primarily because of the time requirement and the fact that you can't save your progression and come back to that point later. Finding a solid block of many hours that I can devote to that is something I haven't been able to do yet. I also need to learn the stage mechanics on normal mode better before I give it a go.
When I do try it, though, it will be on my magicka templar. I do have all legendary VR16 gear, with Molag Kena shoulders (I don't actually want the 2-piece bonus as getting it to proc would screw up my sustain), a ton of soul gems, and at the moment just over 400 CPs. I don't expect it to be easy. I don't expect that I'll be able to complete it on my first attempt. Maybe not on any attempt. I expect that it will be frustrating at times. I'm still looking forward to trying it.

- If you're not familiar with each round and stage, on vet, on your other classes like Sorc/Nb.
- If you have under 500 Champion Points (or 400+... let's be honest.)
- If you're willing to spend over 500 soul gems, 100k+ gold repairs/repair boxes/crown store repairs, craploads of spell damage potions and tri stat food on progression.
- If you haven't got a monster set/piece like Molag Kena, for example for as much spell damage as possible, as well as enough resources, etc...
- If you haven't got full legendary gear & weapons with divines traits or whatever.
- IF YOU'RE ON CONSOLE, GOOD LUCK LOL no buff timers, no combat text (not yet anyway) and no useful PC addon-type stuff, like even seeing the % of health for Sheogorath's sake, and not to mention the fact that you don't have to use a pad which blocks/drains most of your stamina at times while simply just trying to interrupt a target, as it uses the same triggers, and as well being unable to efficiently switch bars quick enough, sometimes...
- Do not copy builds off guides if the player has cleared Veteran many times, unless you've got the right stats to be an insane, constantly on the move, positioning-god, situational-awareness-champion GLASS CANNON with like 18k-19k health and insane crit/spell damage/magicka.
- *dies*
6 hours later and I'm on stage 7 with 400 gold left, 172 soul gems from 400, and... my mind has sizzled into a pancake. It's my first time running vMSA as I'm mainly a pvper, but wow, this is just insane and honestly, I think PC have it easier lol.
We have 22 Templar's who've finished it on EU, and 89 Sorcs. That says A LOT.
I've got a 4 full stacks of soul gems sitting in my bank (plus most of a stack on each of my characters), and I can be pretty lazy sometimes... I mean that walk takes a whole frickin 30 seconds! Ain't nobody got time for that! So I'll probably just use gems most of the time.MrGigglypants wrote: »lol you get an awesome for that comment.CrowsDescend wrote: »I'm not doing something wrong, I'm doing MANY THINGS WRONGafter 6 hours my mind is ***.

I'm on ps4 and I help alot of people with vma. Unfortunately the 2 most common problems people have are l2p or trying end game when they are not end game. Also when people seek builds for templars they are geared towards healing mostly. Unfortunately people on Xbox and pc can't seek help as easily as people playing on ps4 via remote play, or lazy people that don't wanna learn vma that buy there runs via remote play. All classes can do it relatively easy once they know what to expect I have done it with all classes stam and magika and dont struggle to badly even with the delay from streaming on remoteplay.
The set ups I use for all classes I use are like this.
Magika dk,NB,sorc:
5 julionus, 3 will power with spell damage, 2 monster sets peices(or 1 kena 1 torugs, or 2 torugs), and destro/ resto if using monster sets any staff will do I prefer precise trait if not using a 2 piece monster set I use torugs staves. For mundus stone I always use theif and all gear is divine.
Mag templar:
5 kags, 2 engine guardian, 3 will power, 2 torugs swords, any resto staff.
The reason I don't use juli is because sweeps can't crit so a crit build will leave your regen crap with out much benefit. I use atro or apprentice for mundus. I personally only use healing ward to heal cause blessing would eat mag to fast although I'm sure honor the dead would be just as good as ward/sweeps spam.
If any one on ps4 needs help learning it feel free to psn message me socomred or if you have no interest in doing vma and want weapons I'll do it through remote play for 100k. If any one wants to know my set ups for stam let me know.

Sweeps can't crit? wut?
Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the advice, and I'm sure it's the smart way to go. But I think you underestimate how lazy I can be lolMrGigglypants wrote: »I've got a 4 full stacks of soul gems sitting in my bank (plus most of a stack on each of my characters), and I can be pretty lazy sometimes... My first 5 runs averaged 100 deaths and 5 or more hours each without a clear. So I expect people to die alot as well that's why I I don't recommend gems. I now die 2 times or so and clear under 120
