Try teleporting as a sorc in first person. Come back after vomiting your soul into a bucket and revisit your idea.
Tbh 1st person isn't so bad, except for the following:
You have very limited situational awareness
Charges always run you through the opponent
You cannot see buffs without an add-on
Some particle effects essentially blind you
That said you can get used to it to some extent but it is always a disadvantage.
Having said that a campaign that locked you into 1st person mode would be very interesting.

Only way to balance anything is to experience all forms of it instead of what the popular form is. Maybe something is as broken in 1st person than 3rd and vis versa. Maybe if ZOS played in a full set of heavy armor in PvP they see how useless it is and so on. That is what a programmer is supposed to do is try all forms of combat and skills and so on to balance there game not just what who said what.

If your a player like me who uses DW and Expert Hunter. You cant even see. Literally the effects on your weapons give you like a 20 FOV. So this would not work so well. Im forced to use third person view.
