    I have noticed a lot of glitches. Like when I have immovable up, I keep getting wrecking blow in the air like a golf ball - what the deal? A lot of other stuff with perma CC'd etc is still at large, when few melee people rush me the same time my char gets down and keeps trying to get up, only to reset in his 'on the ground' position, it's weird and more rampant than I remember it to be, also getting knocked of your horse can cause this - im sure im not the only one?

    is there some smart thing we as players can do to counter this 'perma' cc?

    immovable was nerf'd, read the new tool tip...

    CC immunity never did make you immune to roots. They are considered a soft cc.
    Hence all the crying early game about talons spam.

    At least now a lot of classes have access to the 40% run speed buff. As far as I know, the only skill that makes you immune to roots are retreating maneuvers.

    Roots aren't hard CCs, they never were effected by break free immunity. Run shuffle if you have to, nice dodge chance and immunity to snares/roots for a lil while.

    Is that true about Shuffle though? I thought I remembered the patch notes saying something that suggested immunity to both roots and snares.

    The 2H skill Forward Momentum still grants immunity to 'snares and immoblizes', IIRC. I thought Shuffle was supposed to do the same?

    Found it: patch notes 1.6.2 say this:

    •Shuffle (Evasion morph): This ability now has effects for its snare immunity and prevents you from being snared or immobilized in addition to granting the Major Evasion buff. The duration of the immunity is 0.5 seconds for each piece of Medium Armor equipped.

    So we could probably use a clarification here: is the tooltip wrong or has the immunity to immobilizes been removed?

    This skill helps against roots, too (in the first few seconds).

    Eric Wroebel stated they were looking into a root "break free" mechanism and subsequent immunity but wanted to ensure that a cue was visible that denoted the immunity was present (similar to the white circles around your feet representing break free CC immunity).

    So I can spam root all day long and there's nothing my enemy can do other than dodge roll over and over? At a significantly increased cost each time?

    Surely this isn't an intended chain of events...

    Perhaps roots should also increase in cost?

    So only forward momentum grants immunity?

    I thought shuffle was supposed to as well too.

    Most roots can be blocked, the sorc one does no damage unless morphed to do so, and for talons (when they fix it) a dodge roll takes you out of range.

    But yes, before this update all the dodge rolling made root useless.

    Evasion snare immunity also works on root for the same duration, I use it every day, it's just a tooltip fail.

    A lot of us should have access to the morphed Rapid Maneuver skill.... that is if ZOS had not broke it with the IC patch ;)

    Purge and Purifying Ritual also remove roots. I know I spam the hell out of PR on my Templar in PvP. I believe Bolt Escape still works and NB Teleport strike can still allow you some mobility.

    Roots doesn't prevent you from casting, that's why no immunity. So you have to stand there... maybe a glass cannon doesn't always work.

    I use roots, many other people use it too. When it's used against me, I typically don't use up my stamina to get out, I'll just keep casting spells. Either run some form of ranged attack, heal, or purge type move and then mix it up with the roll dodge.

    Spamming roll dodge is a real quick way to lose. I've noticed even half way through battles most players will adapt and mix up which roots to dodge and which not to.

    With the updates you don't have to protect yourself from ALL moves, just key ones. Its more than annoying to get close to killing a player and then have them improve lol.

    Thank goodness, I was worrying about how to get root immunity into my build without sacrificing rally.
