When will we get official word on text chat for consoles?

Seems like they avoid answering this topic even though the forums are flooded with discussion
Plain and simple consoles need text to chat and they could patch it easily....

Im sure eso deaf community would appreciate not being singled out devs...

the official response is no, how many times must people supply links to posts saying thus; you wanted text chat on console, when they explicitly said that it would be otherwise, yet you still bought it, sorry to say it but you should have bought it on pc.

Will you buy me a 700$ PC so I can have a decent communication system? No? well I guess people need to continue talking about this.

Oh, and the place where they explicitlysaid it was maybe behind the physical copy, i'm not sure, but it was not in the PS store description when I bought it.

I'm sure many people didn't realize it was missing text chat until after they purchased the game or didn't realize how difficult it would end up being able to communicate with others and do basic social activities without it until they started playing it for awhile.

Not everyone is apart of the pc master race and this is an mmorpg it should not be lacking a text chat just because its a console version.... This is also a huge f. U too deaf people.... So because they cant afford a pc and cant hear means they are not alloud to communicate with the rest of us.... Really?

The official response is not no. The official response (from Matt himself) is, that they will do something, but it will be "different" and not just a simple chat-box (even if the people are just asking for a simple chat-box and that would be patched in easily).

Theres no reason why they cant just come out and say we are aware of this and looking into it or just plain old fashioned no, but instead they are ignoring and deleting threads about this topic on a daily basis hoping people will give up

ZOS reads the forum. They have come out in a couple of cases and stated they were not going to do something. They have stated that they are not going to do an auction house. They have stated that they are not considering making the Imperial Sewers PVE only. It is reasonable to assume that everything else is "we are aware of this and looking into it."

I agree that they could come out and say that they are looking into it, but they would have to say that about everything. Anything they did not say that for would be assumed to be unnoticed or ignored, even if it was not.

My guess is that they have not even decided what the final answer is. Even if they do decide to do a text chat on console, we won't see it until an Update. Probably not Imperial City. There is plenty of time for them to think about it before they answer.
