Considering players' opinions of this game tend to start out very high and decrease over time, getting a bunch of new players in the game with a sale right before they offer new DLC for sale is a....very good idea.

I bet the % of people who buy this game from a sale now and also buy the new DLC next month will be higher than the % of people who already have the game and buy the new DLC.

As for the pricing, I would think they(the website) buy x amount of activation codes from Zenimax, and what they price them after that is their own. (unless some minimum or agreed to sales are up front/etc)

Like Walmart selling Tide detergent....once they have bought it from Tide they can sell it at any price they want.

That is typically how it works, although in some cases they do partner with developers/publishers and agree to share the discount's debit.

Apparently yes, if you take the DLC into account. Already seen a couple threads by console players upset that, even with family share, DLC needs to be bought per person.

Yes, the sale is only for PC keys sold by GreenManGaming :).

Yeah, they apparently have a certain number of codes they they bought from Zenimax. I bought my copy from the one day sale GMG had last week and I noticed that by the evening that the standard edition was already "sold out". (I was looking to buy Imperial edition so I think I would have been fine.)

Usually don't see digital retailers sell out of anything, but apparently ESO was so popular that they blew through their allotment of codes before the end of the sale.

Very incorrect. The answer is yes.

The difference between zero and even 1 dollar is huge. 1 dollar requires a credit card , zero lets you make as many throwaway accounts to spam and troll on.

Having a cost up front means a world of difference in player community but especially chat.

I was enjoying Skyforge during the pre open beta launch when it was mostly people who had bought a founders pack

Once F2P started for anyone the community went to pure hell , and I don't want to ever login again.

Hopefully F2P will never ever be an option here.

$12 actually, and yes, there is. Even general forums that have a $1 or $5 fee usually keep out the vast, vast majority of the trolls and spammers.

FYI for anyone unaware, you can use the following voucher/coupon code to get 20% off making it a $12.00 even purchase :)!

Anyone ever bought multiple keys from GMG on same account there ? Bought one key and considering grabbing a few more for son , friends , maybe mule/2nd account for me etc.

Just wondered if no issues getting multiple keys on same GMG account (using them later of course on different new ESO accounts for folks)

There's no problem getting multiple keys from them. I bought 2 copies (one for me and one for my brother) from the sale last week. Look in the "Games" section of your GMG account and your ESO keys will be listed in the unmarked section in there. (There will just be a triangle all by it's self that you need to click on the expand that section and see your keys.) I guess it is unmarked because the key is for an independent service and not one of the major digital distributors.

Many thanks , just didn't want to fool with making multiple accounts on there if was some rule against multiple keys for same game.

Likely will stock up on a few of these for folks in the future.

I've already bought all of my accounts...but was going to snag another for a friend...I'm having to make a new account. If I'm logged into my account there's no "Buy Now" button.

So I logged-out, went to the page, added it to my cart, began check-out...which had me log-in...and at the end of the process it failed and told me to remove any invalid items from my cart.

I'm making a new account on GMG to get around this.

    11 accounts and counting. :|

That's not how things always work with "authorized retailers". Apple, for example, puts stringent restrictions on the pricing of their products. You can't just sell a Sony PS4 for whatever you want, either, although stores like Walmart will try to sneak around this with discounts on bundled products.
