Summery: You were PvE-ing in a PvP zone and PvP happened.

Okay I think I see the problem OP. See, much like Craglorn, although you can travel solo through most of Cyrodiil and do quests, you will be more successful as a group. It's also best to find your partner before traveling to Cyrodiil because requests in zone may be met with hostility, especially if your faction is struggling at the moment. Which brings up the best time and place to quest in Cyrodill, and that's when your faction's position in said campaign is strong. Because of this, you will have less far to travel if you die, while any gankers will have a long ride back instead of the other way.
Good luck and good fight.
PS, if your campaign is locked, and the tide turns against your side, please help out with the war effort.
Primarily by sneaking constantly, running away (in stealth) as soon as an enemy player pops up at the horizon or by hiding inside a 70-player zerg. How in the world do level 10 characters survive in Cyrodil?

There is a lot of satisfaction to be had knowing the PvEr will go running to the forums to complain why he cant PvE in peace. Literally all MMOs are built for PvE players stop whining you got what you wanted a long time ago. Bring back UO open pvp!!

Thanks for all of your help. I'm excited to learn PVP. Would be nice if some of my opponents met me on level ground but I understand if they need an advantage. I look forward to learning from you in Cyrodil.
