Simple question about guild 'ownership'... Any insight or explanation is appreciated...

I have a question about guild ownership... What does the ownership represent, mean, establish, etc? How do you claim ownership? When or how does the ownership change, etc. Im in 2 guilds with traders, but they have no ownership. I also am guildmaster of another guild, we unfortunately do not have a trader. Somehow though we have established ownership of an area and i was just wondering what exactly it is.

Somebody in your guild likely just claimed an unclaimed farm/mine in Cyrodiil. Basically, when you cap one of the enemies resources at a keep, or the keep itself, they become available to claim for assaulting guilds. If it is left unclaimed, any guild member (as long as they have permission to claim) can then claim the resource.

...and to add, as soon as that mine/farm/lumbermill/keep is assaulted and taken by another faction, your guild will lose your claim to that land.

As well, people can buy from your guild store if you have ownership of something in Cyrodiil

So... What exactly are the benefits of owning that keep, mine etc? any perks or buffs?
