This, so much this. It's the most OP ability in the game. I really just want it to cost more and to be notified properly that I've been feared. This ability has basically broken tanking in PVP.

I just wish when you break free from fear it gives you the same 5 second immunity all other cc breaks do, being feared multiple times over and over is just not cool..

The immunity is actually 8 seconds, and breaking fear does give it. In the following video i am using nothing but fear, 3 times in a row. Only the first fear sticks.

Yeah, that's not true. There are quite some bugs with fear and CC break/immunity. One of those common bugs is, that you get feared even when you have the CC break Symbol hovering around your feet. I had to break a lot of times CC from fear twice. Maybe it has to do with the skill going through block, because the NB fear skill has far more bugs than any other cc skill currently in the game. Another almost fixed bug was falling through the world and teleporting back to base from getting feared.

I'm a stam DK. Which makes 3 things in PvP my worst enemies. Soul Assault, Radiant Destruction, and fear.

I think fear is a necessary skill for a class such as a nb. But I think it should function more like fossilize does for the DK. People will argue that fear is good for either breaking perma-blocking tanks' defenses, or for just getting out of sticky situations that they need to retreat from. So make it like fossilize meaning when a target you've feared takes damage after being feared, it is removed. If utilized correctly, it will work fine. This will mean people won't be able to spam it, but at this point in the game, I have no faith that unbreakable fear will always be a thing. I cannot tell you how many times I've died to someone repeatedly spamming fear, and me finally not being able to break one, even with the resource necessary to do so. Because if a nb spams fear enough times, one of them is bound to bug out and be unbreakable. Yeah, you may have won the fight, but if relying on the game to break is what you have to do to win, you lose.

Well, then... that's a bug that should be reported. Not an inherent problem with fear, right?

If getting feared even when you have the CC break Symbol hovering around your feet was so common as you say then i would have seen it happen to me in the 1+ years of playing. I have not.

I have shown a video of fear not working on a CC immune target. If you say it is common for CC immune targets to get feared, why don't you post a video of it happening yourself.

The ONLY problem with fear is the iffy cc break not going off. That is no problem of fear though, they should fix the cc break machanics...and do nothing to fear fine as is. Only thing that can consistently kill my tank in pvp...

ya i will never agree that it is op. only skill against perma blockers. cant be spammed against a target b/c of immunity. can be broken just like anything else. immovable works as a counter along with immovable potions. u dont like being feared then spec against it. u run out of stamina well idk maybe get higher recovery. its pvp u should have decent recovery. here is another idea use range attacks after ur cc immunity breaks or immovable or ur pots wear off. just like a sap tank or bats u dont go just running in there once u know. u have to methodical about it. stop spending ur time complaining about it and spend some more time figuring out how to counter it. i face fear all the time and have minimal problems. I use fear all the time when on my nb and have been countered plenty. just cause you cant seem to figure out how to defend it does not mean it is op.
