Downloading the patch AGAIN

I just got the game yesterday and thought i could play it out of the box but found out you gotta download a network/update file, That was completely understandable seeing as the game is all online, it took roughly 4 hours to get all 15gb downloaded. What isn't understandable is i go to play it today and found out i have to download it AGAIN and that my download is about quadrupled from the original download. Not sure why i have to again but i guess il start playing again on saturday once its done.

well apparently it is necessary .. hopefully not starting a pattern of downloading all past patches bound up in a single download every time a patch is required - that is poor design
