Now that I have gotten to VR14 and started optimising, it becomes clear how unfair some racial passives are. Many builds on tamriel foundry always use the same few. It just seems quite unfair that choises you picked because you enjoy the lore behind some races make you a noticable amount weaker than other races that I find dull.
The races at a disadvantage are the ones with little attribute % increases, which has become a bigger deal with 1.6 and change to stat values. The weakest seem to be argonian, nord and the poor kahjiit, who get no increases. I understand that some races get bonuses which make them unique, e.g. dunmer fire increase, nord has mitigation, redguard has stamina, but it becomes unfair when that is paired with lots of stats. So people who picked a class they want to play for the game are now at a point where they cannot become the strongest. You get to end game, realise that end game scoreboards are all about looking for the best and would want something optimal over non optimal. If anything, increase health % for said races to allow enchantments of other attributes.
No one really wants to level all over again, just to get to end game to be the best and play a race they didn't want to at the start. For a game that finds variety and lore important, it is not achieving that. I am leaving imperials out of this, they are ZOS's pay char, a little scummy, but in business it makes sence. Just make it a little more even and balence out all other 9 classes and you can solve a number of complaints for little work and little impact to the game.
These are my thoughts, what are other peoples suggestions? As far as classes, ZOS did a great job in 1.6, all classes feel much better, but thats a harder thing to define however.
