Oh man @Ley I was planning on digging up that exact postSaw this coming..I really wouldn't expect the palomino horse to be priced as one of their mounts that's supposed to be special and rare. The new guar will probably be priced as the existing guars, and the palomino will probably be priced as the other regular horses.
I agree with your assumption. I am however not looking forward to all the outrage and complaining that is going to come from them lowering the price of the horse, if you're right, but see no reason why it should be any more expensive than existing horses.

I will never understand why some players need this "exclusivity" aspect in video games, all for the sake of feeling more elite than another player. Not so they can be competitively better, just so they can feel better. It's a video game! Let people enjoy it for crying out loud.
See, when they advertise something as exclusive and you buy it and then they turn around and make it non-exclusive, that is called: misleading.
When I pay for something that isn't what I was told I was paying for, I'm probably going to be upset.
This one's tricky. I don't think ZeniMax ever said the mount was limited when it was released. Just that it was a post-launch mount option.
But official support says the Palomino was "available for a limited time" instead of using a more accurate phrase such as "temporarily discontinued upon the release of ESO:TU." That would far more accurately describe both the Palomino and the digital Imperial upgrade.

I can definitely see the argument that the Palomino should be at least 1500 crowns. Even without the fire-farting appeal of the Courser, the Palomino is good-looking enough to establish its own mid-price horse category that the Imperial Horse could also be added to.

I feel somewhat cheated too.
I hope for this game to continue for a long time, just like WoW has.
They have mounts that now, since being such a long time, are extremely rare.
I was hoping to get ahead start in the ESO exclusivity.
I hope in 10yrs time, the BETA monkeys would be rare(ish) and other more so exclusive items such as the loyalty rewards and (prior to this) the Palamino would be extreme rarities.
I guess we will see.

Umm.. which mods are you talking about. All the mods I have seen that have reply to posts wondering if the palomino horse coming back on the crown store said that it will return they just did not know when. Stop edging on misconduct.

Dear ZOS,
I feel like I have been had
Back in may last year (4th of may 2014, to be exact), I bought the Palomino horse for 90 DKK (12,06 EUR), because I thought it would be a limited mount.
Now, a year later, you have brought it back - now in the Crown Store. I really don't mind that it no longer is a limited item. I do however mind that I have paid much more than it is worth! It costs 900 Crowns in the Crown Store, and you can buy 750 Crowns for 53 DKK (7,10 EUR) or 1500 Crowns for 99 DKK (13,26). That is quite cheaper!
If you absolutely have to re-sell limited items, at least make sure that they are priced the same as the original offer - or else you risk, like now, that people feel cheated. I bought the senche leopard mount when it was limited, for 2500 Crowns - will you be re-selling it at half-price in the future too? If so, I see no point in buying limited over-priced items.
I love the game. I subscribe, and will keep doing so. But I must admit a bit of respect has been lost. This is no way to create a loyal fanbase!
Please take this into consideration next time you decide to do something similar. Thank you
(Now I shall return to playing the game, and try not to get annoyed at my horse...)

They don't expect it to mean available for a limited time until we decide to offer it AGAIN for a limited time.
Whether intentional or not, consumers are misled by these types of statements and they may feel urgency to buy the item if it won't be available again. ZOS gets a boost in sales because rational consumers hear the limited time message and take them at their word. It's not honest if you continue that language knowing that the de facto effect of said language is to trick consumers into buying the item under the presumption that it won't be available again.
We need to know the change in exchange rates to determine if OP is really getting "ripped off" as he/she states. However, ZOS is pretty loose with their words when it comes to marketing. How can you possibly even consider an item that can be purchased by anyone with the money to spend to be "Exclusive"? I don't even recall the Palomino ever being advertised as such but even if it was, what leap in logic do you need to take to realize it's not exclusive if anyone can buy it! DERP!
