Pricing for Palomino Horse on Crown Store?

We are all greeted by the news that new amazing items will be available on Crown Store.

Unfortunately, I was somewhat surprised by the Palomino Horse being available via the store as well.

I understand that to be equitable for all, the Horse that was once available via Bestheda Online Store should be available for all the general players.

What I am concerned about is the pricing. It was once sold for $15 Online.

Just to be fair for both the old players, the Horse will be sold at $15 worth of crown?

We hope for some kind of clarification because it would be extremely unfair to have the horse available for something less $15 worth of Crown!

We also paid hundreds of dollars for subscription to a game that no longer requires a subscription. I really don't care what they do with the Crown store version of that horse. I pay extra for lots of stuff to have it early: fast GPUs, recent movies, computer games. I know that things get cheaper over time if I wait, but I often choose not to.

I was surprised the palomino horse wasn't one of the first items in the crown store, along with the Imperial Edition.

I agree that it should be sold for the same price as well. I have a bad feeling both that and the new guar will cost 2,500 crowns which IMO is too much for what's essentially a skin, but maybe that's the upper tier which they're reserving for 'special' mounts (like the nightmare courser and the leopard).

I really wouldn't expect the palomino horse to be priced as one of their mounts that's supposed to be special and rare. The new guar will probably be priced as the existing guars, and the palomino will probably be priced as the other regular horses.

I agree with your assumption. I am however not looking forward to all the outrage and complaining that is going to come from them lowering the price of the horse, if you're right, but see no reason why it should be any more expensive than existing horses.

Yeah, I'm sure that if they price it the same as other normal horses there will be some people whining and moaning about it, but the way I see it:

Huh. It turns out that @stefan.gustavsonb16_ESO already said exactly what I would have said to complete that sentence. :)

It would make sense that it cost what it did when it was a cash item.
I believe it was approx $15 last year

Only available at level 10 and above tho

Caveat emptor....let the buyer beware. Was it ever stated the palomino horse was limited or exclusive? It makes no sense for prices to remain constant over time. Prices always go down. Besides, the coolest ride in the game was free if you met the qualifications. I'm not upset that there will be different versions of it as time goes on. Funny, I still see lots of senches, not many leopards.

Pfft lol still laughing at the fact we got spammed by the fact the Imperial edition is limited time only.
Then people were so ticked off that the Imperial edition got a 1 gold horse so the 15 dollar horse came in lol.

There is no such thing as limit edition any more lol
The senche is proof of that lol
With a motif that they charge 50 dollars for * always makes me laugh*
No price would be too much

My point is lol its up to the marketing team to see what they can get away with.
Also if it can sell it will sell and in the official crown store thread people have prices going as high as they will pay 200-300 dollars for certain things from unicorn mounts to christmas armor. Sooo be lucky they have yet to take the real lore breaking path like alot of games do lol.

This. I paid over $320 for ESO in the first year between the physical imperial edition, subscription, and other digital content. Unless something is stated as exclusive and quantity limited period, it's not reasonable to assume it is. The bristlegut piglet was something more along those lines but not quantity wise. A title in game for closed nonweekend beta testers would have been too, if they had done one. A basic horse on the website for sale to all comers, not so much.

Exploits suck. Don't blame just the game, blame the players abusing them!

Did they say the digital Imperial Edition was limited time only? As I remember it that only applied to the physical edition and they said right from the start the digital edition would be available as an upgrade later on. (I remember it because I wasn't sure I'd get the game at launch and was relieved to hear I'd be able to get the Imperial Edition later on and only miss out on the physical stuff.)

Edit: Likewise I don't remember them ever saying the Palomino was exclusive or limited-time or any such thing. Presumably if they hadn't been forced to drop the subscription and introduce an in-game store it would have stayed available through the website for every single player to buy if they want to. That's why I was surprised it wasn't in the crown store from day 1, it seemed like the obvious thing to do, much more so than introducing a bunch of new horses.

The collector's edition that came with the Molag Bal statue and the coffee table book? Isn't it awesome? I love that book...
