stamina NB build ideas anyone?

I was a magicka NB up until a couple of nights ago. The thing I didn't really like though was my damage. Even with 26k magicka and almost 2700 spell damage (with buffs) I wasn't hitting nearly as hard as stamina builds.

At the moment I'm using 5 PC bindings until I can afford morang tang, 2 PC red mountain, and 4 PC shadow walker. Cost reduction on all jewelry. I have stamina on all armor pieces. Sitting at 22400 or so HP, 23600 or so stamina, and 12k magicka using tri food. Weapon damage is 2259 but with random buff (not sure where it comes from, its not the offensive scroll buff) I sit about 2468ish. With rally I'm up around 3k weapon damage. My stamina regen is 1450ish and with continuous attack its over 1500.

CP is in precise strikes(1), piercing(10), mighty(20), warlord(11), mooncalf(10), tumbling(10), medium armor focus(15), spell shield(15), block expertise(1).

Main bar is wrecking blow, surprise attack, dark cloak, critical rush, rally, incapacitating strikes.
Second bar is poison injection, bombard, double take, lethal arrow, mass hysteria, meteor.

I find I do good on stamina but things that seem to work fine for other people seem to not be working good for me. Going against other NB's and sorcs have not been bad but DK and temp has been giving me issues. They keep healing through everything even though I'm hitting really hard. The temps always have blazing shield up and heal and they always seem to have enough stamina to keep breaking free of my fear. DK's aren't to bad except for a particular build where they just keep spamming wrecking blow and it destroys me yet if I do it to them its like I'm doing nothing, they just GDB and keep breaking my stealth with wrecking blow and critical rush. Its like my cloak is useless (I know right, go figure) those skills continue to track after I'm cloaked and LoS isn't broken.

Anyone have suggestions or examples of how they play their stamina NB's?

Templars are ok for me, blazing shield just means dropping back to bow from range.

    Other NBs are ok too.

I can't kill a DK tank or 99% of Sorcs with shield , BE, meteor, frag build. If I get past the shield, they can heal quicker than I can DPS with weapon damage at 3000 and 27k stamina.

What is your setup to get 3000 weapon DMG and 27k stamina?

I would rather see ops setup with 2.7k spell dmg ^^

Sure, sure, we know how insanely OP you are and how badly NBs need to be nerfed...

    But in all seriousness,

How does that work in PvP? I know it is your PvE build, but the numbers looks impressive. Is there a PvP version?

Since I started the thread awhile back I have since found a really nice PvP build and PvE build. It hits extremely hard and has good survivability.

I am wearing 4 pc morag tong, 4 pc shadow walker, 3 pc ashen grip. Weapon is a 2H maul, secondary is a bow. All stamina enchants on armor. Maul has reduce enemy armor enchant and bow has disease damage. The armor sets also work great in PvE . I have almost 19K health, over 20K in DSA because of a few different skills on bar, and over 24k stamina using blue rank 10 food in PvE. For PvE I will eventually go morag tong and ravager.

    PvP bars:
1st bar-Rally, surprise attack, relentless focus, critical rush, mass hysteria, incapacitating strikes.
2nd bar- poison injection, bombard, double take, leathal arrow, dark cloak, barrier/soul tether

once I get vigor I will replace either relentless focus or something on my bow bar, not sure yet.

the idea of the build is to use reduce cost on all jewelry and have most CP in tumbler, followed by warlord, then stamina regen so you have good sustain while doing massive damage. With rally I sit over 2900 weapon damage and with cyrodiil buffs over 3000. I am a wood elf WW so with relentless focus I sit at 1513 stamina regen and with continuous attack at 1693. with a tri pot I am even higher, close to 1800. This means you can break free and dodge a lot and not worry as much about having stamina to attack because it won't drain stamina as much. In PvP i sit with around 25k HP, 24k stamina, and 11.7k magicka using tri food.

Always keep up rally, relentless focus, and double take. Rally and double take are more important than relentless focus though so if you find yourself running low on magicka save it instead for double take. Use double take even if the skill hasn't gone away simply to get the wonderful speed bonus during the first 4 seconds which can allow you to get to range quickly (combined with hasty retreat) or get out of the way of siege fire.

I do not use cloak often, maybe if retreating or positioning when a zerg comes in but mainly I use it simply to remove DoTs and occasional attack. I can switch from one bar to the other if I really want to use the stun from cloak+surprise attack but to me mass hysteria is enough plus costs less over all. In the end the enemy will be able to break free from either one no differently and mass hysteria also has a snare and reduced enemy damage attached to it which is nice.

A good reason to get to range is to shoot a few poison injections while dodge rolling. It costs next to nothing but does decent damage, especially as the targets health goes down. Great for messing with sorcs. You can cloak and lethal arrow as well. The debuff is great and it does good damage. Not like it used to, but still nice. Generally I will let off a bombard, get some range, poison injection a few times, cloak, lethal arrow and right as the arrow hits critical rush from max distance and follow up with incapacitating strike and surprise attack. Fear, get off as many surprise attacks with LA weaving as possible then go back to range. This is a general tactic. Certain class builds must be approached differently.

    Other NB's:
Basically use bombard to get them out of stealth, poison injection, and begin melee assault. Most will fear so be sure to fear first! Surprise attack+Dodge roll a lot. You can actually cancel the animation while dodge rolling making this skill vital to learn and master. With stamina NB's it will come down to who dodges more and who hits harder. Magicka NB's who know what they are doing can be tricky, in this case use a detect pot, bombard, and stay on them. They have access only to healing ward as a shield and will most likely be wearing all light armor. They will go down easily. Again, watch for fear or destructive reach. Some use crushing shock animation canceling which makes the attack come back to back to back really fast and almost negates your dodge rolling. Basically suck it up and go on the offensive.

    Sorc's:
Some sorcs kite around. They will streak back and forth through you. Make sure you block. They will 100% every time streak at you after breaking free as well. Just block. These sorcs are nice because the more distance they put between me and them the harder my critical rush hits and it hits for around 9-10k at max range. Again, play with them using poison injection and bombard to take down their shields and stamina if they are blocking. I prefer to attack when they still have some shields because some will feel safer and not recast. So my crit rush will hit hard enough to destroy the remaining shields plus do damage. Again they will streak and put up healing ward and hardening ward. At this point you NEED to max DPS and get that shield down before healing ward gives its heal. If they knock you down it's all good. Get up fast and use your several seconds of break free immunity to your advantage. A good sorc will practically never run out of magicka so do not think that will happen. A good sorc will MAYBE run out of stamina but a really good sorc probably won't. The idea isn't to keep spamming fear to the point they cannot break free, but to fear to get that 1 or 2 seconds of attacks in before they break free. Never assume you will EVER get a full fear on them. The other kind of sorc will drop deadric mine and atronach and sit on that spot hoping you come to melee them. Do not, you WILL die. stay at range using poison injection, bombard, and cloak+lethal arrow. When mines are gone rush in before they recast it. I also like to use the enviroment against them. If they are sitting on their mines I'll find a tree to hug and constantly break LoS and fire at them. If they run all the better, spam critical rush and you will stay on them doing massive damage. A guy did this to me the other day. He tried streaking away and after 4 crit rushes I was through his shields and he was dead. Also, if they do streak away and you cannot reach them, just go do something else. It's a trap.

    Temps:
Depends. I'll stay at range for a time then go melee depending on their build. These can take awhile simply because they can heal through anything. If you have ever met a heavy armor healing spec temp you'll know they are almost impossible to kill. Good thing they can't hit back very hard. I have had a few stale mates against some REALLY good heavy armor healing spec temps. As much as I don't care for how they implemented assassins will it comes somewhat in handy in these fights. When they have shield up I will do surprise attack with LA weaving then just LA/MA's. I'll fear after shield is down, assassins will, incapacitating strikes, and surprise attack. This ends up actually doing some nice damage. With temps it's all about timing attacks around their heals and looking for opportunities to burst. I don't care what any noob temp says, awesome temps are hard to kill in PvP. Simply put.

    DK's:
They literally do the same B.S. as they have done since launch. Their wings were nerfed so if at range just use LA, don't use hard hitting skills because of the reflect. You can however use hard hitting ranged attacks as long as you dodge roll animation cancel. It will take away their wings after a time but you will dodge the reflected damage. Basically it's a matter of getting them to lose their resources and burst before they can heal. Some of more intense DK's are running wrecking blow setups. WB is easy to dodge but if it hits it hits hard and they will spam it over and over like the noobs they are. Also, higher level DK's with stamina builds will be running GDB and vigor. They can do a lot of heals. The fact is DK's have amazing defense and amazing offense. As most people say, yes they are OP. Doesn't mean they are unkillable, but they are a pain and you can only make a few mistakes when fighting a good one if you want to live. Also, certain people, not just DK's, but a DK that will remain nameless will use macros for dodge rolling. They are basically impossible to hit. Good thing is though, if they are running away dodge rolling it means you aren't dieing either. Best to just let them go. It's not worth the frustration.

Escape mechanic. I switch to bow, roll, double take, sprint, and cloak behind something. You are very hard to catch when you do this. Obviously not impossible to be killed but if your forces start to get pushed back it will allow you to retreat and survive 99.9% of the time while your slower allies get paved over. It's also good to catch those trying to escape you. Catch up, bombard, and kill the person or have your forces catch up and kill them while you stop them from escaping further.

In PvE my bars are as follows:
1st bar- rally, wrecking blow, relentless focus, killers blade, evil hunter, flawless dawn breaker
2nd bar- bombard/poison injection, razor caltrops, double take, scorched earth/leathal arrow, evil hunter, meteor

For AoE trash use bombard, caltrops, and scorched earth. It will out DPS just about any other AoE attacks. But you do have to position yourself properly since bombard is a conal not 360 degrees. If needing to go ranged on a boss use poison injection and lethal arrow.

Other than that always have rally up, relentless focus, and evil hunter. I sometimes take evil hunter off for other skills and use pots for the crit but rally stays on simply because it has saved my but many times. the heals come in handy A LOT. Double take has also saved my group from wipes. I can outrun basically any boss, wait until they stop to do some charged AoE and rez people.

MA attack weaving with wrecking blow does more DPS than LA weaving with wrecking blow, remember this. Killers blade also does better damage executioner in my tests. Yes executioner does better damage from 30%-50% but those are not execution phases and you are better off using wrecking blow and waiting to execute at <25%. For whatever reason Killers blade always hit for a few more thousand, especially comparing both skills crit damage. Not to mention killers blade costs WAY less so it's better to spam.

Use meteor for your ult, never use flawless dawn breaker. Yeah, it does good damage but not nearly as much as meteor. It is only on your bar for the passive damage increase.

Once I get the ravager set, caltrops and evil hunter procs can proc the 5pc bonus and it's pretty awesome. This alone adds much more DPS.

After weeks of testing and playing different builds this is by far the most efficient. Good survivability, good resource management, hard hitting skills that don't take to much stamina. I hope my new experiences can lead others to success with their stamina NB's as well.
