Need help with templar DPS/heal PvE build! Solo leveling!

As the title says, I could use some help.
I haven't played ESO since it launched back in 2014, and I'm trying to get back into the game. I got to veteran rank 2, and I'm currently using resto/destr staffs. For armor, 5 pieces of light and 2 pieces of heavy. Most of the attribute points i have put into magicka, but i also have some on health and stamina, because I want to have the possibility to dodge little bit more and take hits without dying instantly. Oh and also, I'm a vampire. At the moment, I use some skills from all templar skill trees, and resto/destr staff skill trees, with some mages guild and vampire skills. I play alone 95% of the time, and I find killing groups of enemies, that has more than two, quite hard from time to time.

I could really use some help, there is just so much going on, and I don't know which skills to take and where to focus.

If you are not using any attacks that use stamina I would highly suggest not wasting attribute points on stamina. Instead push them to your health. You will have enough stamina to roll dodge off of your base alone.

Use "blazing shield - sun shield morph" as your primary defensive skill. Stack as much health on your character as possible because the strength of the shield is based of your max health. Once the shield is destroyed it reflects the damage back. The is a great ability when fighting multiple mobs.

Next "puncturing sweep - puncturing strikes morph" is your primary AOE attack. It does good damage to everyone in front of you and heals you for 40% of the damage done. Combined with "blazing shield" you should be able to take down most groups with little to no problem.

The other three abilities can be whatever you prefer due to your play style. Try multiple things and see what you like but with puncturing sweep and blazing shield on your bar you will always have two ability to fall back on that is very efficient.

For ranged single target DPS I would go with "power of light - backlash morph" now an instant cast that stores up the damage done to a target over 6 seconds and then does an additional 33% damage.

Next cast "vampires bane - sun fire morph" and then finish them off with "radiant destruction - new ability, replaced blinding light". Radiant destruction is the Templar's execute ability and can be used at range, you could also use a few "dark flare - solar flare morph" if you like.

I would also suggest to have "repentance - restoring aura morph" on your second bar, after you kill a few mobs and can switch weapons get a free heal then switch back and keep fighting.

As for healing my bar looks like this "Breath of Life, Healing Springs, Mutagen, Combat Prayer, Purifying Ritual" I then have a second bar with utilities I will switch too in order to support other players then switch back to heal. This bar looks like this "Breath of Life, Repentance, Power of the Lite, Ring of Preservation, Luminous Shards".

When soloing you should only need Breath of Life and Repentance on one of you bars for healing, you should not need anything else. The above healing build is what I use in Vet dung groups and it has proven to be very effective. I will rotate Combat Prayer "heals, gives def buff, and attack buff" mutagen "HOT with an emergency heal", Healing Springs " AOE HOT", Purifying Ritual "AOE HOT" and finally Breath of Life for emergency heals.

I will drop to my second bar to help support when needed. Breath of life is always on both bars to give an emergency heal if need "and its always at the same spot on each bar". Repentance gives my group a free heal and stamina increase once they have killed a few targets. Power of Light I will cast on the boss or hard targets to help out with DPS "you could use purifying light instead to also give a small heal". Ring of preservation "fighters guild ability" I will cast where I and other squishy DPS stand to give us a little more protection. Finally Luminous Shards are thrown to the tank to help him/her keep their stamina up for blocking.

Not sure how to mix the vamp into this build, but with 1.6 everyone is trying to figure out their builds again. But one thing remains certain to me and that is blazing shield and puncturing sweep still work great. Use those two abilities until you figure out your play style.

OK let me give you the most fun build I have had in this game yet. Its OP at leveling and with a few minor adjustments, go straight into full healer mode for dungeons.

5/2 light armor/heavy armor seducer set. If you want to go 5 seducer 5 magnus thats even better. Use the training trait if necessary to boost your light/heavy armor to 50 asap.

    All points into Magicka
    All enchants into magicka

    2H and resto staff

    Resto staff loadout

    Reflective Light
    Dark Flare
    Healing springs
    Purifying Light
    Binding Javalin

    Ult: Solar Disturbance

    2H loadout

Brawler/Executioner depending on whether you are fighting 1 or multi targets
    Puncturing Sweeps
    Critical Rush
    Breath of Life
    Repentance

    Ult: Crescent Sweep

You maximize your magicka since that's the only resource you can't regen quickly and if you want to switch to full healer, you're already all set on the gear/stats.

    Here's the rotation

    - Stand as far away from the mobs as possible to maximize critical rush....
    - Start with Resto staff
    - Cast Dark Flare from far away.
    - As soon as dark flare is on the way, shoot a reflective light
    - They both get to the mob about the same time
    - As soon as you reflective light switch to 2h
    - Critical Charge in and do a brawler which puts up a damage shield
follow that up with a puncturing sweeps and if they arent dead after that...Ultimate Crescent Sweep and another pucturing sweep/Brawler.
    - After everything is dead, cast Repentance to immediately restore all your stam/health
    - Onto the next pull with no down time

With that rotation, things die so fast and you literally have no down time as repentance restores your weak stamina pool/setup. Your magicka cause its maxed out barely moves...or is regened quickly.

    Notes:
When fighting bosses, throw a purifying light in there to add to the dps.
Use breath of life in emergency situations
For real fun, switch to your staff,,,, javalin the mob while backing up then immediately switch to the 2h and charge in....It seems unfair as it does so much damage while they are CCd.
Keep Healing springs on the bar so you can constantly be leveling the resto staff tree although you wont use that ability much when you are questing.
I dont use mage light all that much honestly cause its not really needed and it take up 2 valuable slots.
I'm kind of a small deal!

Thanks a lot for the replies! I will try both suggestions.
