I'm Happy With The CP Gain in PVP

I usually get home from work around 6pm and log in and play in Cyrodiil evrey night for around 4 hours. In the last week I would say i get 3 to 3.5 CP each night. The points are nice and give me something to push for and look forward to add to my character strength. I am very happy with this system. It has somewhat the feel of the realm rank system that DAOC had and a reason to keep going.

The way people were making it sound was that I would be getting half a CP a night in PVP and would have to go PVE if I wanted them but that is not the case.

I would say that i do pretty well in PVP tho as a stamina DW/bow NB and i pick alot of people off trying to get in keep sieges and defense, I win most of my 1v1s and always make sure to get the bonus ticks at keeps.

well, be happy about your perma-enlightenment bug as long as it lasts...

once that is fixed, 1CP per hour in PvP is only realistic if you manage to get close to million AP per night... I kind of doubt that you do...

I havent had perma enlightenement. I only play late each day so i have some built up when i log in. It seems to last threw about 1.5 to 2 CPs. I will usually get 1 more CP without it but it does take alot longer.

Well I get 1 CP in PvE while drinking morning coffee, no pressure, almost no risk of dying, no Lag The Terrible. Only minus that in long run it's gonna get boring. You can get CP in PvP but not as fast and easy as in PvE.

Some men just want to watch the world burn... I just want a cold beer!

Thats true but i play this game for the PVP endgame. I have no desire to PVE just so I can get them slightly faster.... They arent requirements to compete like vet ranks are. So i will just do what i actually enjoy doing and get them as I PVP.

Those that go PVE for them will never be able to make up the AP and alliance ranks they lost while PVEing instead of PVPing

NO, just telling you what I have experienced since 1.6 launch. Maybe other just aren't doing as well. You cant tag people to make anything you need to do most of the damage or all damage to get good rewards for a kill, you also have to stick around for the defense ticks which give you alot of CP exp. The 20 kill quest seem to be a good chunk to.

I will admit I do pick off alot of people with my Bow and in keep standoffs

We fixed an issue where more Enlightenment was being given per day than intended. You will now gain one Champion Point worth of Enlightenment per day.

So even after the hotfix, you're bugged and getting double Champion Points for your Enlightenment, while my PvP character is bugged and has not gotten Enlightenment in 2-3 days even though my other characters on my account get it.

If my exp was bugging out and giving me double the intended amount of Champion Points, would probably be pretty happy with the Champion Point gain in PvP as well.

in about a year they will be.

and alliance ranks honestly are not that essential. it only means that a player spends more hours on the game than others. I am only AR16 and have defeated many AR20s and even a few 30s in combat. I suppose one who only does Pve would lack the alliance war skills; there you have a point i suppose.

A few days ago, I spent five+ hours in Cyrodiil, ending up at 33 in Thornblade. That's not exactly Emperor material, but it's above the median. I was enlightened the whole time.

    I earned 1.5 CP's.

How much AP are you earning while getting 3+ CP per night?

If your a PVP person just doing PVE for faster CPs I dont see why you want to do something you dont want to do just to be slightly stonger right away. Just PVP and get that and actually do what you want to do. All this time you spend PVE gringing is less APs and a lower alliance rank than you could have been as well as reward in the campiagn boards

I am getting about 1 a night (3-4 hours play) and most of it comes from the kill quests. Based on pure PvP, i would earn about 1 CP a week. They really need to improve XP gain in PvP.

In a year you will have enough champion points from PVP to fill the "requirment" CP skills for your build. Most CP skills will have very little importance on most builds, there is only a handfull that are very important and they greatly decline as you put more points into them. In a month or 2 you can gain the most important power your build needs from CPs, there is no need to go PVE and do something you dont want to do. Unless you like PVE grinding

I actually earned 4 CPs in Cyrodiil last night...I turned in all my kill quests, did a few resource quests, and had many, many kills. I was surprised at how many I earned, but I did. Was only enlightened for two of them, I believe. Or, moreso, one and a half of them.

If that is the case then you are right if im only suppose to get 1 CP from enlightment, but it has been running out and i have been getting a whole nother CP without Enlightment. So if its then 2 CPs a night i am still fine with that, the most important CPs for my build be be gotten in a month, and after 3 or 4 months i will have everything i need for my build. everthing else is just minor and ment for other builds

I'm a couple hundred thousand AP from Palantine, Alliance rank at my level and beyond is all about Carebears and posturing.

I Grind CP because the playstyle I was used to and enjoyed was broken. I'm doing this in order to use this playstyle again. I think many people are forgetting just how hard *every* player was nerfed this patch. I can dodge roll 50% of what I used to on 1.5. I have slightly better magicka sustain, far less damage and far, far less survivability.

There is no "Slightly" stronger about it. You realize that grinding your first 50 champion points awards you several thousand health, magicka, and stamina in extra stats alone? 12% Spell crit is not "slightly" stronger.

This is what Zenimax has forced us to do, I don't enjoy it but I'm too damn competitive to let other players get an edge on me.
