And no, I'm not looking for "find another game", "re-roll", or "cry".

I am asking because I've heard some Sorc builds, like Stamina Two-Hander and Stamina Dual Wield, are better, while others, like Mage Healer, are worse. I rolled a DC Breton Sorc as my second character in early access left it at level 5 until a few weeks ago to play my EP Argonians, a DK and a Templar, who are VR14. I also have an AP Argonian NB sitting at VR1 but still haven't really found/unlocked the skills for/used a build that suits my playstyle and is adequately fun.

I really have enjoyed leveling my DPS (finisher)/Healer Sorc with light armor and resto/desto to VR1 in PvP and I am catching up on Alliance PvE content/getting ready to head to Coldharbor. I heard that few people like Liquid Lightning but I found it useful in Blackwater Blade. Right before, just before, Update 6 I was using a crit build for PvE with things like Inner Light, Critical Surge, Force Siphon, Crushing Shock, Impulse, and Endless Fury to clear zones and Harness Magicka, Healing Springs, and Ward Ally if I needed a little more protection. Gear was 5 piece Seducer and 4 piece Twighlight's Embrace.

What constructive advice or insight would you recommend for someone who is going to play a pure mage Sorc build in 1.6? For either PvE or PvP? I will explore and experiment on my own but when I was on the PTS I mostly was looking at how my VR14s were affected, so I am behind on what is happening with Sorcs other than reading some really mixed messages on the forums.
