Tanking Stamina Killer

I am a v13 DK tank. Not a stamina build by any means, but I noticed when I was trying out 1.6 that my stamina was practically leaking out of my character when I tanked Crypt of Hearts. Between the Undaunted taunt now costing stamina and the block costs going up, I was pretty much constantly out of stamina. The easiest way to fix this would be to make the Undaunted taunt cost magicka again.
Just my opinion.....

It'll get easier when you put more points into the champion system blocking passive... stuff.. thingies...

Lol. So I get to use all my CP on the blocking passive to get even remotely close to my old build back.
    Sounds legit...

Why did you take the stamina morph if you didn't want it to consume stamina....?

Also every playstyle requires much more focus and dedication now compared to live, it's intentionally done due to the removal of softcaps and of course thhe new champion system.

the unmorph of the undaunted taunt is magicka. and then one is a magicka and one is a stamina. idk why not just remorph to the other?
Banned for Naming and Shaming exploiters. Great ideology ZOS.

remember this game is based on acquiring champ points in end-game. overtime you will be able to buffer these problems by using champ points. Just like i will need to do for crit percentage and my NB stam DW build. Now all of the abilities i use in DW are stamina based, so I put all my points into stam recovery, reduce ability cost, reduce roll dodge cost, etc. We all have to adjust and it comes down to earning champ points.

Sorry but i think your wrong here. Over any MMO I've played where something like this has happened. You don't get "downgraded" only to rebuild. We should
have the same regen rate as live or very close to it and build up with these CP's from there. It's bad design and it's flawed. I can only hope they do more tweaking to it before this goes live.

Now otherwise, yeah, your build may have to change or adapt thru runes or a different armor set. But there isn't enough content currently to overcome the difference in test vs. live natural regen without CP. The conversion is NOT feeling like live at all right now.

I understand that and it is a valid point. A point many share including myself to some extent. I guess i just expected it to some degree. Hell i told myself that the first 6-8 months of the game was going to be beta like. So in my mind i was not let down.
On another note, the moment that Sage commented in the summer that some would be happy with the amount of champ points they get and some will be unhappy, I stopped questing. I definitely saw something like this happening. (which leads me to think that others should have seen this coming and planned accordingly). Therefore, I will be able to earn champion points that i know i deserve rather than ZOS giving some arbitrary cap number on initially CP with no content to earn any more other than grinding. At the same time, 1.6 has been on the PTS for a little over a week. So much more testing to do.
But lets be real, once everyone gets over the initial hump that will be getting your toon where it was (which for me on PTS really was not to bad even with only 70 CP, granted i stealth/gank/burst damage in pvp mostly) the game will not only feel better, but actually be better

I'm not pleased by the amount of CP we get, but I did think to plan ahead and I kept one Veteran character purposefully low and most of silver and gold unfinished for the sake of questing my way into some CP's while my main runs dungeons and the like.

Also, I play a tank as my main, he's a VR13 DK as well. I'm noticing that I have to block less to keep my stamina from draining all the time, but with the right armor and with the right points into your stars it shouldn't be so bad that you can't function. Keep at it and you should find something that feels comfortable enough while you gain CP.

Also, recall that ultimate is generated by attacking. So, this should ultimately lead to less blocking and more attacking for tanks to gain ultimate which leads to less stam being used b/c your attacking more. That said, I have never played a tank so i have no basis for that point other than what I think.

This downgrading thing just happened in SWTOR. A worrying trend.

Agreed. Whoever came up with the design should be shot in the foot and only admitted to hospital when he manages to find 3 other people willing to maim themselves the same way in order to accompany him.

Ultimately, any method of entering an enemy keep without breaking down the door is considered an exploit. Thanks for checking!

And I understand that is what they're going for with the overhaul.
That said: I have already put in the dedication. Been playing almost a year and I'm just now getting my character to a satisfactory point, and with one fell swoop it feels like I've been knocked back a couple months worth of progress. I understand what they're doing, just not too happy about it.

And the problem there is now I'm at end game and I've already done everything. To earn a viable amount of those shiny champ points I'll have to grind endlessly. Which I'm sure is fine for some, but I'd rather not my leisure time activity turn into a job.

yep, honestly, give those what they GOD DAMN DESERVE. if you have done the work to get multiple characters to v14, you should get more CP then the guy that just did ONE. Its like being slapped for working hard.
The stam issues are exactly as said, the downgrade was so that to get the same effect you had to SPECIALIZE, put pts into certain stuff in the champion trees to be more tanky ect, for certain builds, not be a nb doing 700dps and tanking decently.
PROBLEM IS, THEY DON'T LET US CHOOSE, ITS 1 INTO EACH TREE SECTION. so its not like you can focus into 1, get the bonuses for x amount of pts, then swap. I DONT EVEN WANT ANYTHING FROM THEIF AREAS....
Thats the problem. ok we need a cp thread.
