If we bought the +10 speed horse, we just lose the +10 speed now?

Really, my horse speed is back down to 50, and I have to pay for 10 more speed to get to 60? This doesn't make any sense.

Are you sure your horse speed was at 60 when they made last character copy ?

I really hope that this is just a mistake from the tester. Could you please confirm if your horse was originally at 50 or 60 speed @Kevinmon?

Hoping it's a bug but currently looking like all horses just became cosmetic and lost all bonuses.

Buy an Imperial horse for 1 gp, horse has zero speed, stamina and carrying capacity.

Buy a common horse for 17,000, get a horse with zero speed, stamina and carrying capacity

By a Light, gaited or Draft horse for 42,000, get a horse with zero speed, stamina and carrying capacity.

If they ever create a Legendary recipe it better contain bacon as one of the ingredients. I'm just sayin'.

Not a bug. Horses are purely aesthetic.

That was the entire point of the change, to make it so you could use the horse design you liked best without limiting your mount stats.

@ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_JessicaFolsom : can we get some information on this change please?
Is it intended to have 0 speed for a light horse or 0 extra inventory for a draft horse?

Suggestion: allow horses to be sold back to the stables at the bought price. The draft horses look ugly and I didn't pay 42,700g each for some brownish stains on my 8 horses.

If this is true then why the price difference in mounts?
Does a mount costing 42,000 gold really look that much nicer than one costing only 1 gold?
And why have different stat descriptions such as this horse is the fastest you can buy, or this one will allow you sprint longer or carry more gear when they are all exactly the same?

The point of new horse mechanics is that you buy horse for cosmetic difference only.
You now have to learn your own riding skills which will give same benefit which was previously given by specific horse.

Any1 from US server can answer to few questions (im Eu, so im not yet able to play my characters on PTS)?

How exacly this Horse consolidation system works ?
If i, for example, have different horses on different characters what bonuses will they recieve ?

For example, i have 1 main character with 3 type for horse. 1 with 75% speed, 1 with 60 backpack bonus and 1 with with 60 stamina (just for lulz ).
I also have 3 alts with only 1 horse which give 75% speed.

All of my alts should now be able to use horse i had with any of my characters ?

Will all of my characters recieve all the riding stats from all horses i had in total or only those characters who had some specific horse ?

I mean, will my Main have all Riding stats maxed out (bcoz obviously he alrdy have all 3 type of horses maxed out) and use any of those 3 horses. He will also be able to use any Horse which any of my Alts had if they are not the same ofc.

What stats will my alts recieve ? Will they have same buffs as my main since they are able to use his horses now or will they only recieve Riding skills from horse THEY had ?

P.S. I want refund for all those same tpye horses i bought and gold i spent to level them up :D

Your main will have 50% speed, 50 Stamina and 50 Carrying capacity regardless of whatever mount you decide to ride.

"I also have 3 alts with only 1 horse which give 75% speed."
Your alts will each have 50% speed but be able to ride any mount in your account.

"All of my alts should now be able to use horse i had with any of my characters ?"
    Yes

Each character is independent of all others on your account. Any points invested by a character (excluding the stats from the horse itself) will be carried over for that character only. Think of Riding skill as another class tree. Each character can train in their choice of one skill, once per day. That skill increase will apply to that character only. Any mounts you have bought however become Bound to Account and can be used by any character on that account.

If one character has a light horse, all of them do now. Looks like they lowered the basic horse to 10,000 gold. I gave them feedback that they should make them all that price now since they no longer make a difference in your stats. Of course now you only ever need to buy one per account.

Thx. So i hope we have enought time to max out 2 additional 1g horses myboth alts so all 3 characters will have maxed out riding skills when 1.6 goes live :)

I found the same thing with my gaited horse. It has a +20 boost to stamina upon purchase. I upgraded 5 times, so on live, I have 25 stamina. On PTS, I only have 5 stamina.

According to MSchroeder in the clarifying post

The base stats of your mounts are accounted for when we do the changeover. For instance, take two horses: One is an Imperial horse you've fed 50 Apples to, and the other is a Light Horse (which is the fastest horse in the game), also fed 50 Apples. When the changeover happens, that character will have a full 60 in their riding skill’s Speed category – we’ll have evaluated that character’s mounts, and applied the highest stats they had in each category.

So what we've been told is not happening. So is it a bug or have they told us incorrectly?

Only thing I don't like now is the riding skills are basically a pointless money sink now.

It's simply a matter of time until you max out all three now. I would have liked the points to still be limited or to have to choose how to allocate them at any given time or something.

I liked that if someone wanted to have tons of bag space on his horse he was gonna be slower than me.

    Oh well...

That's a great idea I'll suggest that as well.

I'm still looking for clarification though that it is intended for all horses to have the same base stats now.

Straight from the PTS Patch Notes:
Previously, each mount was associated with a specific set of statistics, which often led to you needing to choose between your preferred mount appearance or a mechanical benefit. Now, you are free to choose any acquired mount you like without compromising statistics.
In other words, they made Horses purely aesthetic so you can just ride the one you like.

This is almost definitely a bug.

Players who used a Capacity horse and had completely filled inventories when they copied to the PTR had 10 less inventory spaces after the copy, with all the items they had filling those 10 spots they lost having completely disappeared. Or so I've heard. So I imagine it's a bug, because I can't figure out how they'd ignore the default capacity bonus the horse gives without losing the items like this.

Then they need to start readjusting the gold required to purchase them. Those 42k Horses were expensive for one reason. Their boosted stats in particular order.

Now that theyre just cosmetic. Theres no reason for them to be any more expensive then the common horse.

From what I've seen, all horse inventory is unstable at the moment. I logged in to find characters' horse bags gone repeatedly.

My light horse I long ago maxed out to 75% speed; stats on PTS are now back down to 50. I do not see the justification for asking me to AGAIN pay to get the horse back up to the stats it already had achieved just because they chose to make the darn things account wide.
  • Vandril

@Soulshine - The base stats of the horses taken into account as your "highest of a stat" is currently completely ignored. If what MSchroeder said is true, then they shouldn't have been ignored like that and it is a bug.
