Enduring Rays in Dawns Wrath – Debuff or Buff?

Vampires Bane = 249 dmg + 336 dmg/7 seconds



2/2 Points invested(max) in Enduring Rays:
Power of the Light = 1545/ 7 seconds
Vampires Bane 249 dmg + 420dmg/8,4 seconds



So to me it seems that we actually have a passive that gives us a disadvantage. For the last 2 skills in dawns wrath the additional time you get with enduring rays is good. But for the first 3 skills its a debuff?



Am i correct or where did make the wrong turn?

    Sun Fire deals damage in 2 second intervals, so without Enduring Rays it has 3 ticks. With it it gets 4 ticks. DPS of the DoT should be unchanged (your numbers indicate that it's slightly lower, but the numbers on my Reflective Light fit perfectly).

    For Backlash, it is a DPS loss if you hit the cap before 7 seconds. Otherwise no. But it's really quite minor anyway, especially with how clunky Backlash is.

    for PvE Sun fire dmg and dot is too low to use it.
    So i am only thinking to use Solar flare and Power of the light.

    A friend of mine told me that Power of the Light can be put on boss from severall people without overriding the spell. Can sb confirm that?

    Dark flare with Enduring rays is 1,3 sec, without it should be smth like 1,1 sec, but i have to doublecheck that first.
    If darkflare crits for 1,4k/1,1 sec its fine. If it crits for 1,4k/1,3 sec it sucks..I guess reskill again

    Currently only one Backlash can be placed on one target at a time, but this is changing come 1.6.

    Enduring Rays doesn't affect cast time. The base cast time is 1.3s.

    Is there any news regarding Backlash and how it's getting reworked? It's essentially the worst ability in the game.

    it does 2k damage for /1,5 sec cast time. At the moment you can not reapply it before the actual buff ran out. That is why you can use it only every 6-8secs.
    During the 6-8 secs your group has to do about 7k damage that it hits for 2k.
    In addition it also increases the group members powert by 2%/hit (max 5 hits)

    Though i have heard that only the first increase is working and the other 8% not. But I can not confirm that.


    Also, does sb when the max dmg (approx 7k so it goes off for 2k) is reached does it go off earlier and can it be reapplied sooner?

    Nobody exactly knows how the skill works and FTC is also not giving clean numbers.

    For starters multiple casters can use it on the same target, and it will be getting a stamina morph (which makes the max stored damage be calculated off stamina apparently). Presumably Healing Puddle is gone. Or maybe they will turn Power of the Light into the stamina morph... probably makes more sense.

    Also Solar Flare's damage buff will be applied to yourself (affecting your next damaging ability, including further Solar Flares) and won't be eaten by DoTs.

    Together with Radiant Destruction and hopefully a Vampire's Bane buff, Templar magic DPS looks pretty good in 1.6.

    Templar stamina dps already around 1,2-1,5k. with Power of the Light stamina morph it will be even higher :)

    Templar magicka dps atm sucks, 800-950dps. However, with Crushing shock scaling from spelldamage i could see a slightly buff to 1k+ dps. Due to the fact that you use Crushing shock, Spear,Potl and all scale from spelldmg and magicka.
