How to become a werewolf AGAIN?

Hello!

I really need some help on this ... I checked everywhere and found no answers

So, I've been a werewolf long ago and got cured because WW wasn't that good. I decided to give it a try since update 5 made WW better.

I ask someone to bite me and it seems that I can't get Sanies Lupinus again! He can bite me multiple time but the only status that I get is "devour" and no Sanies lupinus. We tried like 5 times and it didn't work.

So my question is -> how to become a werewolf again? Do I have to get bit again or do I have to talk to a certain npc to get the skill line back?

You can get it same way as before, just make sure you are not a vampire. NPC bites work, as do player bites, however the latter is a b*tch to get to work.

Basically, the player bite only works while the WW player is transforming. You both stand at the WW shrine. The WW player that is going to bite you has ultimate charged. He stands behind and close to you. He hits the ultimate, and as he starts transforming into beast form, he hammers the X button (devour). You get knocked to the ground. Then you have the infection.

That's odd. If your friend is capable of biting you, that should work.

Have you had the chance to try receiving the disease from one of the actual spawns?

Edited for above post: this is what I get for having never actually witnessed the werewolf ritual. That would explain a lot about why this isn't working for you, OP.

It worked but not with the same WW ... I really don't understand what happened. With the first one, he was able to "devour" me multiple times but my character didn't fell on the ground. I had the "devour" status multiple time on my character, also. (no sanies lupinus and no scroll on the shrine)

I asked someone else to bite me and it worked fine. I guess I was buggy or the other guy was buggy or something ...

Not sure if this is in the right thread but i honestly didnt feel like searching all 6000 to find my answer.

Yesterday, after waiting hrs for the npc we to show up, in reapers march, i decided to find the ww shrine on my own.
I found it. Also found many people selling bites.
As i was looking around the shrine, I saw a lil quest marker over a scroll. Read the scroll, entered the portal, bacame a ww.

DID NOT GET INFECTED FIRST!

Is this new? Do you no longer need to be infected first?
Is it possible to become infected and not know?
I've never been to cyrodiil and yesterday was my first time in reapers march.
Can i just take ppl to the shrine and point them at the quest scroll?

Or did I just hit a glitch?

People randomly bite for free, i got bit on one of my characters just hanging out at the shrine and a few days ago I took my new level 9 character up to the vampire shrine and someone but me before I even made all the way to the shrine. I didn't expect a vamp bite on a level 9 character but was able to complete the quest pretty quickly even at 9

The scroll at the ww shrine is supposed to show up if you've been biten by another player. If you were infected by the rare spawn you would have to talk to an npc instead to start the quest.

Are you absolutely sure that your character did not have the "Sanies Lupinus" active effect on them at any time?

Perhaps you were bitten by another player without realizing it?
Did you go afk at anytime while near the shrine? Were you approached by a transformed player and have your character suddenly fall to the ground?

Nope. None of the above. I reached the shrine for the first time yesterday and was in sneak mode lol so when i came up from next to/ behind the shrine, i dont even think anyone noticed I was there. I watched them argue over the price of the bite when i noticed the scroll. Still sneaking, i read it and went thru the portal. Before that, i saw a players tranform a few time in the crafting area of vulkil gaurd but im usually just standing around the sidelined not interacting with anyone. And i thought it only worked at the shrine itself? I couldnt have gotten bit in town by a player right? I do go afk alot in town. I checked my active affects yesterday morning cuz i thought i was poisened but there was nothing labled!

You can only get bitten by a player at the shrine, not in town or in the wilds. Unless it's realy bugged on console.

Yeah that's weird then. You can only get bit by the shrine and if you weren't infected you shouldn't be able to pick up that quest. Might want to report that as a bug.

Or, you transform outside of the shrine's "aura," so your timer bar starts to tick down, then you walk up to the shrine and you should get the devour prompt while in wolf form.

Haha nah. Think i'll take as many low level kids that are considering spending their coins on ridiculous priced bites, to the shrine and point em at the quest and say have at it. Im so sick of these a**holes that camp the spawn points trying to kill all the ww so they can apitalize the market on bites. Then ima just hang at the shrine for an hr every7 days and bite for free. Well soon as i get my perks up anyways.

Why people charge for bites?
Is there a cooldown for it? Like 1 bite per week? How does it work?

Ppl charge for bites just cuz they can. You can wait hrs for a ww npc to show up around the shrine areas tho. Thats free. Also i was sitting at the ww shrine and a guy was biting ppl for free. You can only bite someone once every 7days tho. At least thats what i think it is. Just find the shrine and chill. Someone will offer a bite eventually. Thats what ima do when i can. Just give em for free or maybe charge a low price cuz i'll haveta take em to the ahrine. Not this 2-5000 *** im hearing ppl charge. Thats crazy.
