Is the nirnroot trait that good?

Or does it being so expensive have more to do with it being rare? Thanks

Dunno about that, but anyone who wants to craft one of the new 9-traits-known sets needs to have researched it on the respective pieces.

Its only costly cause its rare, no one is making gear with that trait to wear, they are only making gear with that trait to research and then make 9-trait gear.

In PVE it is not needed. In PvP, impenetrable it to valuable to be replaced considering that most people are at softcap for resists without nirnhone, the hardcap is only at 50% mitigation and penetration is rampant. Spell penetration that is.

So, really only wanted for progression and to make 9 trait sets.

Yeah, down-side is that even if you have researched 9 traits you cannot access the crafting area unless you are vet... 2 of my 8 traiters are 20... :(

Its a useless trait and it is stupid the way ZOS set it up. Learning the Nirncrux trait and finding mats should be no different than any of the other traits and mats in the game. The same holds true for the dremer trait and mats.

I disagree. The problem is that there is not enough diversity in the other traits. They treated it like a bubble gum machine prize and they should have been more creative about it from the start.

Edit: I have come to realize that the game is too shallow. They should make more of the game, a game. Challenges and rewards. Learning traits should have been more than random drops and purchases from the guild store. Learning to use different crafting mats should have been more than just spending a skill point.

I have to disagree on the Motifs. More Motifs means more diversity on the crowds, other wise most people in your alliance will have 3 different armor styles. That will get boring real fast, especially during the pre-dye system days.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.
