DK 1.5 Meta Build

What is current Meta build for Dragonknight?
I just returned after 6 months and allot has changed i notice.
When i still played the "meta" build was Destru Staf and Resto Staf with Pulsar spam etc like in this video

I was reading and searching a bit today but all i could find was that seems like most of DK's run 1h+shield and destru staff now.

    destro + sword and shield is probs the best combo period. 2h might be another option instead of sword and shield. impulse and aoe dmg in general has taken a big nerf because of the sharpened bug fix. Wall of elements is the fotm skill. for zerging and grouping, destro should be one of your weps.

    But here is what I use right now

    1) Invasion (CC)
    2) Flame Lash (Single target burst damage)
    3) Green Dragon Blood (heal/stamina sustain)
    4) Dragon Fire scale (tank skill)
    5) Burning Talons (Spam in 1vX while in cinder, having reflect up, and volatile armor up, hold block)
    U: Devouring Swarm (AoE damage and heal helps you tank zergs and talons spam + elemental ring DoT tick will help you gain ultimate while skills like reflect and spiked armor, and cinder storm will help build ultimate and tank.
    1) Cinder Storm (Tank skill and builds ultimate super fast when people stand in it)
    2) Elemental Ring (Only used for AoE DoT ultimate gain apply every 10 seconds)
    3) Volatile Armor (makes you tankier and return damage builds ultimate)
    4) Efficient Purge (used to get rid of DoTs, Heal debuffs, etc)
    5) Blockade of Fire/ FLEX (What skill you need atm, blockade because I use it on the floor while im up on top and cast it on the people under me on the breech at the outpost/keep. Ranged AoE)
    U: Standard of Might/Dragon Leap

    sets:

    Warlock (Belt, Boots, rings, necklace) – Gain 33% of your magika back when you drop under 33% magika, 1min cool down.

    Valkyn Skoria set (Head Shoulders) – 4% chance when damaging an enemy with a damage over time effect to call a meter dealing 720 Flame Damage to target and 360 Flame Damage to other nearby enemies.

    Arena (Robe, Gloves, Legs, Shield, Sword) – Increases stam, magika, and health by 100 and reduces cost of CC break by 40%

    Also used panceas of health, combat frenzy tier is a must have to make this build work. Use reduce potion enchnats on warlock rings and necklace so I can drink panceas every 15 seconds.

    All DKs ever do these days is all Light armor, 1H and shield( the 1H weapon you use is your choice) root with talons, block and spam flame whip, use dragon blood when health is low, have scales ready when you are attacked by ranged users like myself, and the ultimate is either banner or batswarm; whichever you prefer.

    for secondary, iv seen resto staff, destro staff, and bow many times. idk what abilties they use, sadely

    That's because there is no point to heavy armor when you can get almost as much armor with light due to the diminishing returns.

    You can run full light + one hand and shield, and use an armor enchant on jewelry (+600 armor) and get within about 100 armor of what a full heavy set gets.

    With that..the passives for light FAR outweigh what you get from heavy.

    What the game has boiled down to is Medium for Stamina build, Light for Magika, no reason to run Heavy.

    unfortunantly true.

    people in dresses and skirts should not be able to have the armor value and the tanking value, of people in HA. idc what the elite of the game say. LA is not meant for taking damage!! yet it does so so much better than HA......

    LA passives need to be toned down, HA just needs either buffed and/or outright new and better passives, and people in LA should not be able to block as much as HA. HA has one passive for it... that is it. even then it seems to make little difference.

    I think i will go this it is pure 5-10man bombing build as i never solo so i dont really see the need in 1h shield when i need resto staff for Ulti building before fights with healing springs

    Why always looking for the fotm build, i think that experiencing, and building the own proper build is more satisfactory.

    Just edited it and thats the strongest build changed out engine guardian set. I am in a group most of the time so if I am in trouble up against three super good players I can tank them for a long ass time till I get a friend to come over. I never really have a problem killing people though, the build becomes more powerful based on the more people attacking.
    If I wanted to focus on being the best at a 1v1 spec or smaller scale 1vX like a 1v2-1v6 I would drop vampire use spell damage enchants and get rid of ele ring, volatile armor, and blockade of fire and replace it with things like draw essence, engulfing flames, and unstable flame.
